Arriving At The Farm

"Will you sit still?" Alexis asks as she is helping Odie pull burrs from Garfield's fur later as the group is on the train.

"I can help it. That hurts." Garfield says as Alexis rolls her eyes.

"Ugh. You're such a pet." Alexis says.

"Of course I'm a pet." Garfield says annoyedly.

"No I mean you're a drama queen. Pampered. Babied. You can't handle even the smallest bits of the outside world." Alexis says as she pulls a burr from Garfield.

"Oh and I suppose you can little miss wolfy?" Garfield asks.

"I'm a stray genius and I know the streets just like your father does compared to you. Now again sit still unless you want me to pull more than burrs." Alexis says as Odie barks.

"Who's side are you on pal? She's not exactly a friend." Garfield says annoyedly.

"But I'm not wanting to see you killed either. I would actually like to see you survive this and go back home... Trust me. You have no idea what you just lost if you don't get this done for Jinx. You don't belong out here by no means." Alexis says as Garfield looks at her curiously.

"You know what Junior? This is gonna be good for you." Vic says as he sits down.

"What'll be good for me?" Garfield asks.

"What we're doing." Vic says.

"We're about to steal a truck full of milk from a dairy to pay back a deranged cat. What part of that is going to be good for me?" Garfield asks annoyedly.

"All of it! You can't even imagine the life lessons you're gonna learn." Vic says happily.

"Oh yeah? Name one." Garfield says.

*Well for starters you already know how to get on a moving train. I found it funny. All I'm sayin' is that to break into a dairy it's going to take a few skills... I'm guessing a rounded, mush-filled, overly pampered indoor cat like you... doesn't have. So we need to toughen you up." Vic says as he laughs.

"Good luck with that." Alexis says as she goes over and sits next to a box.

"Hey I'm tough. I know tough. You've obviously never been in an Olive Garden that's run out of breadsticks. Anyway I'm never gonna need those skills you're talking about." Garfield says as Alexis scoffs at the mention of the restaurant scenario.

"But you'll have them." Vic says.

"I'm never gonna break into a dairy or anything else ever again." Garfield says.

"You are missing the point. You're going to learn to improvise, think on your feet and develop moves that'll come in handy out there in the real world!" Vic says.

"I wouldn't be in the real world if it wasn't for you!" Garfield says angrily.

"True. You'd still be hanging upside down in the mall." Vic says.

"No I would be asleep at home!" Garfield says angrily as Alexis and Odie look at each other as Odie barks at her.

"You said it Odie. Those two are gonna make this an interesting job." Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form and lays down listening to Garfield and Vic argue back and forth.
