~ In the Past, But fast forward ~ (Goes with Tohru's past now)

"I'm home~" Kaede called out as she entered the small apartment and took off her shoes.

"Shh~" Looking up, Kaede raised her brow to see her sister shushing her and in the living room ahead was Tohru leaning against another girl wearing a purple dress of sorts with grey pants. Placing her bags down by the door, she softly walked closer to her sister who stirred the food in the pot.

"Who's that?" Kaede questioned softly as she helped set up the table.

"A friend of Tohru's from school. Uo-chan." Kyoko whispered back as she covered the pot with the lid and looked towards her younger sister.

"Oh?" Kaede hummed as she walked closer to the sleeping girls and smiled softly. Her eyes scanned this "Uo-chan's" cuts and bruises. Pulling the first aid kit closer to her, Kaede gently cleaned the girl's face and covered it with bandages. Every so often giving a small smile as the girl flinched in her sleep.

Kyoko began serving the food and putting it on the table. "Cute aren't they."

"Yeah...You know she reminds me of you, just a bit." Kaede mumbles softly as she closes the box and places it back in its original spot.

"Hahah really? I think she's a bit more calmer than I was." Kyoko laughed as she sat down at the table.

Kaede smiled back as she began to gently wake up the two sleeping girls. "Wake up~ If you sleep any longer you'll miss dinner. Plus you might not be able to sleep tonight and wake up for school tomorrow."  Kaede softly shook their shoulders.

"H-huh?" the blonde girl was the first to stir as she rubbed her eyes and looked at the unfamiliar woman sitting down in front of her. The lady appeared to be a bit older than her with bright hazel hair that ended just below her shoulders.

"Who are you?!" The young girl jolted as she stood up and pointed at Kaede while Tohru's head fell off her shoulder. In response, Kaede chuckled as she caught Tohru's head, the girl was slowly waking up.

"Hahah relax Uo-chan!~ That's my younger sister, Kaede." Kyoko chuckled as she slapped her knee and waved to the girl to sit down at the table.

"It's nice to meet you Uo-chan." Kaede smiled softly as Tohru awakened. The young girl smiled widely and hugged the young woman.

"Aunty!"

Kaede chuckled and softly ruffled the girl's hair as she planted a kiss on her forehead. "Hey Tohru"

"Huh?! The red tailed butterfly has a younger sister?!" Uo-chan shouted in disbelief as her gaze shifted from Kyoko to Kaede to Tohru and back to Kyoko.

'This whole family is all lovey dovey and soft!'

"Indeed. Now would you like to stay for dinner, Uo-chan? There's more than enough food" Kaede smiled as she softly smiled and patted the empty spot next to her.

"I uh--"

"Please do, Uotani-san!! It'll be so much fun! This is the first time I've had a friend stay over!" Tohru pleaded with sparkling eyes as she stared up doe eyed at the Yankee girl. As Uotani sweat dropped and hesitated rejecting the offer, the two adults chuckled as they shared a knowing glance.

"Ugh fine!...Thank you" The Yankee mumbled softly as she plopped down at the table sitting across from Tohru.

"Yay!"

"Well the more the merrier. Well then Uotani-san, I'll call your parents and tell them you'll be staying. What's their number?" Kaede questioned as she pulled out her phone.
