Turning around, Makena and I are met with the large figures of two men. "Need anybody to walk you up? There are definitely some creeps out here tonight," the brunette one says. In the light, you can see his piercing blue eyes. He's fit, tall too. Beside him though stands the tallest man on earth. He's got blonde hair, green eyes, and is practically towering over us.

Before I'm able to respond, Makena butts in, "yeah, sure! I'm Makena by the way." I shoot my head in her direction. Can she not hear herself? They're right, there are creepy people here, but how are we supposed to know they aren't one of them? I grab Makenas arm protectively as the brunette steps forward, his hand held out.

"I'm Conner, Conner Cobell," he introduces. My grip tightens as my breath hitches. I know for a fact that he's not my Connor, but just the name makes me hate this guy even more. Glancing at me, who has refused to shake his hand, Conner says, "and this is Darron, one of my friends." Don't know why he needed to clarify that, but okay I guess.

Stepping forward, I try to block Makena. I know I'm being overly protective, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Quickly, I say, "thanks, but we walk alo-" Makena interrupts, "yeah, let's go!" I gawk at her. Conner and Darron seem to be pleased.

As we walk, I try to ignore how close Makena is getting to Darron. By now she's pretty much hanging off his arm. Conner, on the other hand, crept closer and closer to me. At this point I could feel his arm brush against mine.

You can only imagine my relief when we finally got to the stadium. Now we don't need to deal with them anymore. Or so I thought, apparently Conner and Darron thought it'd be a great idea to sneak us by them. At first I was positive it wouldn't work and we can't, but he was able to manage it.

I thought Makena would catch on and she'd drag me over to our spots, but no she was too into her new boy so she'd rather stick around with him. Usually, I wouldn't mind things like this, buy, come on, this Conner dude gives me the creeps.

I can't deny the twinge of jealousy I get seeing Darron pick up Makena, plopping her onto his shoulders. Ever since Connor left me, it's hard to see couples or anybody acting as if they're dating. Even just flirting makes me feel weird. I know I should be happy for Makena, if it all works out, this'll be the first time she's gotten close with a guy in forever. It's hard though. I wonder if she felt the same when I was dating Connor.

Suddenly, I feel somebody elbow me hard in the side. "What's up Mr grinch?" Conner yells over all the screaming. I glare at him. He doesn't need to know anything. Not letting it go, Conner elbows me again. "I asked a question love." I cringe when he calls me that.

Letting out an annoyed sigh, I finally say, "I'm fine." He gives me a look that clearly states he doesn't believe me. "Seriously, I'm completely fine. Now leave me alone Conner." I continue staring forward in frustration.

"Sure," Conner says sarcastically before retiring to the rest of the group, jumping around happily. I let a fake smile overtake my lips, pretending to enjoy myself, for Makenas sake.
