The simple words "You're perfect" rang in your ears as you blankly stared at Kingsley. The second you sat down, you watched the boys hands almost instantly begin to draw out your facial features, down to every small freckle.
Watching the detail be put in, and how he began to draw out how he wanted the mask to look, it was entertaining to watch him put so much effort into a small mask.
When he was soon finished, he turned the book to you, waiting for your reaction. "So.. is it good?" Kingsley asked, his eyes hopeful you would like the doodle.
As you nodded in a state of shock at the precision of the drawing, he quietly giggles to himself. He puts the book down on the edge of the box where he had fetched fur, replacing it with a tape measure in his hand.
"Can I get like.. close?" Kingsley asks, slightly scooting closer to you. Watching you nod he smiles, standing up and sitting directly infront of you. Moving his seat right below himself, he sat down, gently grasping your face.
His touch was surprisingly gentle, well.. not really. He looked like he took good care of himself. As his short fingers roamed around your face, you felt shivers run down your spine.
"Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" The worried boy questions, retracting his hand. "No I just got chills." You comfort, gesturing for him to continue.
He smiles, nodding as he reached back out, trying to avoid giving you the chills as he took a little white piece of chalk, marking lines of where he wants to measure.
"You can wash these off when I'm finished don't worry." He randomly comments, hoping you weren't dense enough to think it's permanent.
You giggled and nodded, smiling. "Alright." You couldn't help but watch his hand sketch out now on your face what he wanted, you had to admit it was quite a nice feeling.
When he was sadly soon finished, he smiled. He reached beside himself, beginning to measure your face, humming as he did so.
"You chose a fox, right?" You nodded once more, smiling. You hadn't realized yet, but you were a little flushed from the close proximity. Like.. beet red.
That was the second Kingsley realized he knew he loved you. Seeing your calm yet nervous expression was the cutest thing he had ever seen.
"You're what I'm missing in life." Are the words whispered by Kingsley, the short boy you had recently met. As he begins measuring, writing every small inch of your face down; you feel your heart melt a little.. same with the tip of your ears as they turn red.
He stops for a moment, reaching out to rub away the marker but instead, his hand just simply rests on your cheek.
You slowly open your eyes, which were previously shut to not make it as awkward. Seeing his gentle eyes roam around your face, his comforting, cold touch against your cheek, God you were in heaven.
"Thank you." Is all you can manage to get out without almost blowing a fuse. Kingsley nodded, his thumb running back and forth slowly against your warm skin, a small smile forming on his lips.
He reluctantly pulled away, grabbing a fresh handkerchief as he rubbed away the marks, watching your every small movement as if he were studying you.
He reluctantly stopped the touch on you, beginning to trace the marks on the back of the leather, humming as he did so.
You felt.. almost the same. You missed his touch, his warmth (despite his cold hand weirdo.) his.. affection. Would it be weird to ask? Definitely. Don't even think about it.
Your eyes followed his every simple movement, your face still burning red.
