Author's greetings:-

"A bond once strong, now broken lies,
Trust shattered, like fallen skies
Deceitful words, a poisonous stain,
A heart once full, now drained of love's sweet rain."

Hani's parents stood outside her room, concern etched on their faces. They had noticed a change in their daughter's behavior over the past few weeks. She would go from smiling to angry to sad in a matter of seconds. They had tried to brush it off as teenage mood swings, but deep down, they knew something was wrong.

They knocked gently on the door, "Hani, beta, can we come in?"

No response.

They knocked louder, "Hani, we're coming in! We need to talk to you!"

The door creaked open, and they entered, finding Hani sitting on her bed, her eyes wide with fear. She looked like she had been caught doing something she shouldn't have been doing.

"Hani, what's going on?" her father asked, his voice firm but worried. "We've noticed a change in you. You're smiling one minute, angry the next, and then sad. What's bothering you?"

Hani's eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape. She knew she couldn't tell them the truth - that she had fallen in love with a jinn who had been visiting her in secret.

"We're worried about you, Hani," her mother added. "You're in the second year of high school, and you need to focus on your studies, especially business. We've planned your future, and it's time you started taking it seriously."

Her mother's eyes narrowed, "And what's with this constant scent of roses? Every time I come into your room, I smell it. It's as if someone's been here, but we know that's not possible."

Hani's face was drenched in sweat as her parents' words hung in the air, their suspicions growing. She remained silent, unable to reveal the truth.

Her parents exchanged a worried glance, sensing that something was amiss. They knew their daughter was hiding something, but they didn't know what. Yet.

Hani's parents sat down on the bed beside her, their faces filled with concern and determination.

"Hani, beta, we've decided that you're going to study abroad," her father said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "We've already started making arrangements. You'll be studying business, unless you're interested in science, but don't worry about that, I'll take care of it."

Hani's eyes widened in shock, but her parents continued, not giving her a chance to protest.

"And Hani, this is not the time for you to fall in love with anyone," her mother added, her voice firm but gentle. "It's time for you to focus on your studies and grow as a person. Love will come at the right time, okay?"

Hani felt a lump form in her throat as she thought about Nooraiz, the jinn she had fallen deeply in love with. She knew she couldn't tell her parents about him, but the thought of being separated from him was unbearable.

"But...but why do I have to go abroad?" Hani stammered, trying to reason with her parents.

"Because, beta, it's for your own good," her father replied. "You need to experience the world, learn new things, and become independent. And besides, it's not safe for you to stay here, not with...whatever is going on with you."

Hani's heart sank, knowing that her parents were trying to protect her from Nooraiz, but also knowing that she couldn't be apart from him. She felt trapped, unsure of what to do next.
