A few days had passed since that awful day but I still was shaken up by the horrible things I saw back then. I didn't talk as much as I did before and I faked all of my smiles. But no one except my best friend, Sasha, noticed it. She was the only person who knew the real me. When I was with her I could laugh like an idiot until my mouth would start hurting. She was a very precious person to me and I hope I never lose her.

The past few days we never really talked. She would just be there by my side and hug me when I need it. As dinner came today though, she finally spoke.

"I don't know what you experienced back then, Y/N, but I'm worried about you. You're painfully different. And you never told me what you saw that made you like this. Please, just talk to me. I'm here for you. We're best friends, aren't we? I'll always, always be here. You can always cry on my shoulder."

She took my hand in hers and smiled. It was a sad, painful smile. My eyes welled up with tears and I told her everything. How I saw everyone get devoured, how I could only smell blood. The horrible scenes of dismembered corpses of people I knew which were laying everywhere. And how I almost lost my life as well.

"He saved me." I whispered.

"He? Who did?" Sasha asked.

"Corporal Levi."

Sasha gasped. She gave me that weird smiling face of hers filled with perverted thoughts.

"Your knight in shining armor saved you! So lucky! Did anything happen between you two?"

"W-what are you talking about?!"

"Haaaa you blushed! You blushed! So something did happen!"

"No...nothing happened. And nothing ever will. He's the Corporal and I'm just a good-for-nothing klutz."

" Y/N. Levi wants to see you in his office." Hanji was standing right behind me giggling. Apparently she heard our talk.

"See? Luck's on your side Y/N! Go get him!"

"S-Sasha!" I could feel my cheeks turn bright red.

"Good luck" Hanji said with a big grin.

"Stop it you two." I said as I stood up and left.

Talking to Sasha really helped. I felt a lot better now. It still was a huge shock for me but with her help I'm sure I'll get through it soon. Hm. I wonder why the Corporal called me here. I stood in front of his door trying to gather up enough courage to knock on it. When I finally did, I heard the familiar low calm voice from inside.

"State your business."

"I'm Y/N, Sir. You wanted to see me." I said nervously.

"Come inside."

I opened the door and looked around. Everything was sparkling clean. There wasn't even a speck of dust.

"That's Corporal Levi for you." I thought to myself and smiled.

"What are you smiling like an idiot for, brat? Sit down. I've got some business to discuss with you."

As I sat down he continued talking.

"Get a hold of yourself, kid. You saw some people get eaten, you got scared but you have to put it all behind you now. You're a skilled one and we need you fighting again soon. In two months, there's going to be another expedition in which we'll try to get as close as possible to Shiganshina District."

"But why Shiganshina?"

"There is a place we need to get to no matter what. For humanity's sake."

"I understand, Sir. I'll start training even harder tomorrow."

"Good. Also –"

He got up and came closer to me, touching my cheek slightly. I could feel his warm breath on my skin. My stomach was feeling weird. As if something was moving inside of me. I could feel a weird warmth all over my body.

"Your wound hasn't healed completely yet." He said licking it. He licked my wound. The heat in my body rose up to my face. I could hardly take any more of that...teasing. He was teasing me. And his painfully attractive voice killed me. I wanted to hold him so bad at that very moment.

"Heh. What are you blushing for?" He smirked, whispering in my ear with the sweetest voice one could ever hear.

"I-I'm not..."

"Shhh. Don't talk."

With those words he pressed his lips against mine.
