Keerthi walked out of the room like a statue, her mind reeling with her father's words. Her parents and Harini called out to her, but she didn't respond. She needed time to process, to think.

She reached the end of the ward and stood there, her back against the wall. She took a deep breath and pulled out her phone, her hands shaking as she dialed Karthick's number.

As she waited for him to answer, she glanced around nervously, making sure no one was watching her. She couldn't let her family see her talking to Karthick, not now.

"Hey, Keerthi," Karthick's voice was warm and comforting. "How's your father?"

Keerthi's voice was barely a whisper. "He's...he's asking me to marry someone else, Karthick. He wants me to forget about you."

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "What are you going to do, Keerthi?"

Keerthi's eyes welled up with tears. "I don't know, Karthick. I feel so trapped. But I can't lose you. I can't marry someone else."

Karthick's voice was firm. "We'll figure something out, Keerthi. We'll make this work. I promise."

Keerthi's voice cracked as she spoke, her emotions overwhelming her. "No, Karthick, nothing like that is going to happen. I can't marry someone else. I can't lose you. But my father...he's not listening to me. He's not understanding me."

Karthick's voice was calm and reassuring. "Keerthi, have faith in God. He will guide us through this. We will get through this together. Don't lose hope, my love."

Keerthi's tears fell harder as she listened to Karthick's words.

She wanted to believe him, she wanted to have faith, but her heart was heavy with fear and uncertainty.

"I'm trying, Karthick. I'm trying to have faith. But it's hard. My father is not well, and I don't know what to do."

Karthick's voice was soft and gentle. "I know, my love. I know it's hard. But we will face this together. We will pray together, and we will trust in God's plan. He will see us through this, Keerthi. Have faith."

Keerthi thought for a moment and asked.

Keerthi's voice was firm, but her emotions were still raw. "Karthick, do you really love me?"

Karthick was taken aback by the question. "Why are you asking this now, Keerthi? You know I love you. I've always loved you."

Keerthi's response was immediate. "I need to hear it, Karthick. I need to know that you're committed to me, no matter what. My father wants me to marry someone else, and I need to know that you'll stand by me, that you'll fight for us."

Karthick's voice was filled with conviction. "Keerthi, I love you more than anything. I'll stand by you, no matter what. We'll face this together, and we'll make our own decisions. Our love is strong enough to overcome any obstacle."

Keerthi's voice was firm and resolute. "Let's run away from here right now, Karthick. We can start a new life together, away from all this drama and expectations."

Karthick was taken aback, his eyes wide with disbelief. "What are you saying, Keerthi? Are you out of your mind? Running away won't solve anything!"

Keerthi's determination only grew stronger. "I don't care, Karthick. I can't marry someone else. I can't lose you. We have to take this chance, no matter how crazy it seems."

Karthick's shock turned to concern. "Keerthi, think about what you're saying. We can't just leave without a plan, without a future. What about our families, our friends, our lives here?"

Keerthi's response was unwavering. "I've thought about it, Karthick. I'm willing to risk everything for us, for our love. Are you with me or not?"

Karthick thought for a moment, his mind racing with the implications of running away together.

He knew he couldn't bear to lose her, and he knew that her father wouldn't let them marry.

But he also knows that running away is not a solution.

While on the other side keerthi waited for his response with hope that he would agree and thinking that it would break her  father's heart more than anything.

Keerthi's voice was urgent on the phone. "Karthick, we have to run away. Tonight. We can't wait any longer."

But there was only silence on the other end.

"Karthick, please answer me! Are you there?"

Keerthi's heart raced as she waited for his response, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

Meanwhile, inside the ICU, Rajan's weak voice was speaking to Swathi and Harini. "Keerthi loves me more than anything. She'll agree to this marriage atleast ...for my sake."

Rajan said this with a smile on his face and eyes holding the love he has for his daughter.

Swathi and Harini exchanged a worried glance, but Rajan's eyes shone with conviction.

Back on the phone, Keerthi's anxiety was growing. "Karthick, please! Say something!"

But Karthick was lost in thought, his mind torn between their love and the weight of their families' expectations.

He knew that running away would mean hurting their loved ones, but he couldn't bear the thought of losing Keerthi either.

As the silence stretched, Keerthi's hope began to fade. Had Karthick given up on their love? Was she going to lose him forever?

The fate of their love hung in the balance, as the clock ticked away...
