As the streetlight flickered on, the goons' eyes widened in terror. They took a step back, their faces pale."Y-you're... you're Dev Prakash, the DSP!" one of them stammered.
Dev Prakash, the mysterious man, smiled calmly.
"And you are...?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
The goons exchanged nervous glances.
"W-we were just... uh... looking for someone," one of them said, trying to sound nonchalant.
Dev Prakash raised an eyebrow. "At this hour? In this deserted street?"
The goons hesitated, unsure of what to say. Suddenly, Keerthi spoke up from behind Dev Prakash.
"They were chasing me," she said, her voice trembling. "They wanted to... to hurt me."
Dev Prakash's expression darkened. "Is that so?" he growled, turning to face the goons.
The goons cowered, knowing they were in trouble.
"P-please, DSP sir... we didn't know she was under your protection," one of them begged.
Dev Prakash's eyes narrowed. "You should have thought of that before you messed with her."
With a swift motion, Dev Prakash pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
"Rohan, I need you to pick up some trash from the street," he said, his voice firm.
The goons exchanged fearful glances, knowing they were in for a world of trouble.
Rohan, Dev Prakash's trusted subordinate, arrived promptly with a team of police officers.
They took the goons into custody, and Dev Prakash turned to Keerthi.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice softening.
Keerthi nodded, still shaken. "Y-yes, thank you, DSP sir."
Dev Prakash smiled. "You don't have to thank me. I'm just doing my job."
He looked at her with a curious expression.
"what are you doing here at this time?" he asked, his voice firm but gentle.
Keerthi's eyes widened, and she nervously fidgeted with her hands.
"I-I ....actually....i came to get some notes from a friend," she stammered.
Dev Prakash raised an eyebrow. "Notes? At this hour?"
Keerthi's face grew hot, and she started sweating.
"I-I know it's late, but my friend said she'd leave the notes here, and I really needed them for my studies."
Dev Prakash's eyes narrowed. "Why did your friend choose this place to leave the notes? And why at this hour?"
Keerthi's nervousness grew, and she looked around frantically.
"I-I don't know, DSP sir. My friend just said it was a safe place."
Dev Prakash's expression turned skeptical. "A safe place? In a deserted street at midnight?"
As they spoke, Rohan approached Dev Prakash. "Sir, we've taken the goons into custody. But we need to take Keerthi's statement."
Keerthi widened her eyes listening to that since if her parents came to know about they will kill her.
Thinking that she wetted her lips and said ,
"No..no sir please no need for that , if my parents came to know about it they will kill me".
Keerthi blabbered nervously .
They both got confused and dev asked her suspiciously.
"Why would they kill you miss , you just came here to get notes right or did you come here to see your boyfriend ".
Dev asked in a firm and cold voice , seeing his demeanour changing keerthi widened her eyes and gulped.
If there is something that dev hates thats teenage love , its not like he is against loving or love but he just hates how some teenagers without knowing what love actually is and in the name of love going and seeing people behind their and running away from home by betraying their love and trust of their parents.
Thinking about it his demeanor changed and his eyes turned red .
Seeing his red eyes keerthi replied meekly,
"No...no ...sir actually we belong to middle class and if i go to police station other people will tell wrong about it and at last it will affect me amd my parents only sir...so please don't take me to police station".
Thinking about it dev nodded and gave it a thought since he kniws about the mentality of this society.
" ok come i will drop you at your home " , dev said to keerthi since it is late night.
Keerthi got scared thinking about it .
" no no sir i will go by myself my house is just the next street" . Keerthi said in a scared voice.
" i will drop you thats all , no more discussion on this , understand ". Dev said in a firm and commanding voice.
Scared by his voice keerthi nodded like a kitten .
Keerthi's eyes dropped, and she mumbled something incoherent.
Dev Prakash's gut told him that Keerthi was hiding something.
Dev went with rohan to deal with goons .
It seems like Keerthi is in a bit of a tricky situation.
She's trying to avoid getting in trouble with her parents and the police, but Dev Prakash is determined to help her.
As Dev Prakash and Rohan deal with the goons, Keerthi takes advantage of the distraction to make a run for it.
She quickly runs to her house, hoping to avoid any further trouble.
But Dev Prakash is not one to give up easily. He notices that Keerthi has run off and decides to follow her.
He wants to make sure she gets home safely and also wants to get to the bottom of what's going on.
As he approaches Keerthi's house, he sees her sneaking in through the back door. He decides to confront her and find out what's really going on .
What was she doing out here alone at this hour? And who were those goons? He had a feeling there was more to this.
