Miyako and Akira were twin sisters who are not close to anyone but each other.
They grew up in a multimillion dollar family with expected perfection in everything from studies, swordsmanship, fencing, ballet, sports and taekwondo.
The two sisters grew up not trusting anybody but kept their facade as perfectly fine.
In middle school, these two were the most popular people and top performers in every class with many things lined up for them, even a bright future.
These two were good looking, so much so that there was a rumor that there are boys confessing their feelings for them everyday.
The twins were known as cold and indifferent to everyone, including the teachers.
They learned from childhood that people just wants to be their friends for what they have and their popularity and not for the friendship.
However everything changed when their parents got them to go to the cooking class in school.
"Miyako, this is impossible. Why is the water burning..."
"Who knew cooking was this difficult..."
One thing that Miyako and Akira can't do despite their perfections was that they can't cook.
That's when a pretty girl with black hair tied in a mid ponytail with straight fringe covering her eyebrows and dark eyes that looked sad and void of any feelings looked at them.
The girl was pretty even with some scars in her face, she was like a Japanese porcelain doll.
"Ah...excuse me...do you want to try my cookies..."
The girl was their age but the plate of cookies on her plate was beautiful and better than the ones made outside in popular bakeries.
"Sure."
The twin said in a monotoned voice.
When they tried it, it took their breath away. The cookies were sweet but not too sweet with a crunchy texture but not hard and seemed to just melt in their mouths.
"It's really good!"
The twins exclaimed excitedly.
The two looked closely at the shy girl and finally recalled her identity.
She was the quiet girl in their class who talks very less but got good grades, but still got more bruises every time she goes to classes. They heard that it was domestic abuse.
"Ah...my name is Yaku..."
"Nice to meet you Yaku! Our name is Miyako and Akira!"
That day marked the first day of their longtime friendship.
They were great friend, Miyako and Akira hanged out a lot around Yaku and rather love teasing her about her shy nature in a fun way. Yaku gradually became more open around them and smiled a lot.
Yalu's smile was innocent and adorable that makes the twins want to blush.
What Yaku was very good at was making them feel relaxed. After the twins' tight full and tiring schedules, they would feel relaxed in their friend's embrace and eating Yalu's homemade food that always turns out better every time.
That's when they learned about her household problems.
Yaku opened up to them about the abuse and the reasoning about it and stayed silent waiting for their reply.
"I was called a cursed child...it's alright if you don't want to be friends with me anymore..."
This was what she said.
Miyako and Akira hugged her and reassured her.
"You're not a cursed being, you are the greatest blessing that happened to us. You were just a child back then."
During that time, that was the first time they saw the gloomy and quiet Yaku who stayed strong after all this time cry.
Seeing her tears, the twins couldn't help but feel pained and promised themselves that they would protect their little sister figure with everything they got.
The three girls grew even closer after that fated day that day met in the cooking class.
