Chapter 6

When they finally regained their consciousness, they saw the room splattered with red blood of their friend's parents.

Even though they just committed murder, they only smiled at their friend's dead body and walked towards either side of the bed.

"Yaku...we got revenge for you..."

Their tone was bittersweet as tears flowed from their eyes at the realization that their best friend slash little sister figure was dead.

At that moment, they knew even if they lived without Yaku for all those years before meeting her, they won't be able to survive without her anymore.

They each took out the pocket knife they bring everywhere which was also the same knife that they used to stab Yaku's parents 99 times.

They proceeded to line up the knife to their stomach and stabbed it deep into themselves.

The pain wasn't as painful as looking at the body of Yaku.

They both smiled as their limped body collapses on the ground with their heads lying on the hospital bed of Yaku, and their hands holding one of Yaku's hands.

"I hope we will still be friends in our next life..."

That was their last words before their body went cold and they heard the screams of the nurse entering the patient's room.

That was also when they lost their consciousness completely.

The twins felt their souls floating in the air and fall into a deep void.

What next happened shocked them as they looked at the little girl around eight in front of them.

"Do you want to see your friend again?"

The Voice asked.

"Yes."

Despite not knowing who this child was, they felt that she was trustworthy, so they answered her without hesitation.

"Your friend is in the start of her second life right now as Emi Tomioka in the world of an alternative world of Demon slayer that is destined to fall, are you sure you want to go there?"

"Yes."

They once again answered the little girl without hesitation.

"Then you may."

After the little girl said that, the twins felt themselves pulled into something, and their body seemed to have shrunk.

They opened their eyes to find themselves in the bodies of one year old toddlers who looked exactly like their past life and coincidentally have the same name too.

They were happy about that part. The only problem would be that they are still too young to go out to find Yaku whose name is now Emi.

The only difference from their past life was that their surnames changed. It changed from Kaito to Nejimi. It was lovely though.

That was also when they remembered something that the Voice said. Yaku is now the older sister of the water hashira and Tsutako Tomioka! They will have rivals to be Yaku's favorite person in the future.

The two sisters felt like sobbing at that thought.

Four slow years went by and the day that they finally reunited with Yaku, or they can say, Emi drew closer.

The day that happened just happened to be the day that they were allowed to go out.

The twins felt happiness overflow them as they pulled the reincarnation of Yaku towards their secret spot they made specially for them.

The adorable little girl really reminds them of a Japanese doll.

That was clearly Yaku, or named Emi Tomioka now.

The little girl in front of them is the older sister of Tsutako Tomioka and Giyuu Tomioka, the water hashira, a character that did not exist in the original Demon Slayer manga, this person is also the second life of their best friend.

They couldn't help but soften up their cold expression after seeing her.

Emi finally received a name worthy for her, a name that means a beautiful smile, it's just perfect for her...Emi do have a calming smile that could calm anyone.
