Zephyr pov

The moment I heard her call for help all I could see was red. And who is the "we" she talked about. If my brother had not stopped me from going after her maybe she would have been alright.

Trying to contact her through the mind link again, she doesn't respond and that made my cold blood boil with anger and worry.

Without a second thought I sprint through the forrest following her scent but as it grew stronger the more did the scent of another person. Magnus was hot on my heels, but he can go die in a ditch for all I care.

Once we reach a clearing in the trees that is when i saw her; when i saw THEM. A massive wolf laying limp on the flowers, half on top of our mate. The sight makes me growl as I realize she is unconscious aswell.

I swear to the moon goddess that if he fucking hurt her I'll kill him, I'll give him a slow painful death.

It's the biggest shifter I've ever seen. Never before have i seen one as white either. He seems to be shot by something by the look of his wound, but what makes me most intrigued is that he didn't shift back to his human form from all the pain.

"I'll take Lana, you are in no state to be near her, you bring the wolf." Without another word or even giving me a chance to argue the two are off, Lana in Magnus'  arms and I'm stuck with the wet dog.

Fuck my life.

The was home took me a good 20 minutes longer than the way there, mostly due to the very fucking heavy wolf I'm carrying.

Once I reached the castle I went straight to the dungeon locking him in a cell and going on search for my mate.

I found her in my brother's bed in dry clothes of his. My brother is seated next to her stroking her forehead.

"Is she hurt brother? " I question him seeing as he changed her clothing; he should know.

"It looks like a gunshot wound through her ribs, but she's a strong girl, she'll heal herself. The real question is who would shoot our mate? And why? " his voice filled with concern.

It took me a few seconds to comprehend the information.

"Where is the wolf?" His eyes flash black at the thought of the shifter.

"In the dungeon," then realization hit me. They have the exact same wound, " is the shot left or right?" My voice dangerously low.

"Left, what i-" before he gets to finish is question i cut him off.

"He's her mate," I say through gritted teeth but only receive a confused look," the fucking shifter is her third mate, and right now she is healing him."

He looks at me with wide eyes then back to our mate.

After a few minutes of waiting she stirs waking from her healing slumber.

"Where is he?" Is the first thing she says and it makes my body burn with jealousy. Why would she want the wolf when we are here?

"He's in the dungeon," my voice calm compared to the storm going on inside.

"The," she takes a calm breath with her eyes closed, "dungeon?" I know she's fuming but I'm only letting that thing out once it's in human form.

"We can go see him but we'll let it out once it has proved it won't hurt you," Magnus tells her.

Within a few minutes of walking in her human pace we reach the cold loomy dungeon walls. It had been centuries since we held anyone captive here.

We reach the cell and the massive wolf towers over us all eyes glowing bright green as they shift from me to Lana lingering a little longer than i liked on her,but when his gaze met Magnus something in him flipped. The wolf started growling and snarling at him, trying to claw at him through the bars.

What is his problem?  He went from calm to outraged in seconds.

"We won't let you out unless your in human form, wolf," I tell it and to my horror Lana went closer and before i could stop her she has a hand on his head scratching him softly. This action made him stop clawing at Magnus but the growling never ceased.

After a few minutes of this he finally takes a step back and shifts.

Now before us stands a man taller than i am at least 6'5 with snow white hair falling just past his shoulders, not one part of him has a single tattoo. Green eyes and not a single piece of clothing on his body. This man is pure muscle and puts my brother and i to shame.

To my surprise the smell of Lana's arousal fills the air and his gaze shifts toward her his bright green eyes now dark and filled with lust and amusement.

He looks more familiar the longer i look at him. My brother has this look of guilt on his face, he knows who it is and i must too.

I open the door to let him out and as soon as he is out he grabs Lana's hand and starts rushing her out of here. My brother makes no move to stop them and it leaves me with lots of questions.

Once my brother's eyes meet mine he spills the tea.

"It's Callan."
