I never knew my father, he left me when I was only a little baby. Then my mother passed away when I was 18. I feel sorry for her that she had to raise a child like me all alone, and I have a feeling my peculiarity was given to me by my father.

Recently I found out he passed away and has left his house to me, it was in the middle of the woods, far away from any form of people. Maybe he really was special like me.

It is around five pm when I arrive at the massive two story cabin in the middle of the forrest. The wind howling through the trees and the sky is turning dark, it looks like rain.

Quickly I carry my six boxes of belongings into the house and just place them on the beautifull wooden floors of the hallway. 'I'll put those away later' I think to myself.

The house is as clean as ever, not a spec of dust on any surface, not even above the doorframes or light switches, he was clean for a man who lived alone. Everything is made out of dark wood, I'm not sure what type of wood it might be.

As I head up the stairs I take note a few creaky steps and floorboards.

The second floor is even more beautiful than the first. the walls are adored by pictures of him and even some of me and my mom as I grew older over the years. It's been three years since she passed away and as a 21 year old looking at her pictures still makes me want to instantly burst out in tears.

I pick out the bedroom with the most beautiful view to be my own, the whole bedroom is surprisingly modern, I was expecting some old lady grade shit but I was wrong. beautiful light grey bed spreads complement the dark wood, and a whole wall covered by a window with matching grey curtains. A desk is situated infront of it giving me an amazing few of the forest, the trees going higher than the house.

I can see what looks like horse stables to the far left of the backyard. Apon further inspection I find a bathroom connected to my bedroom with a walk in closet and an attached balcony.

The urge to plan some of my novel hits me like a truck, I rush down stairs grabbing my laptop and notepad to rush back up the stairs to the table. the sun is already set and the whole forest is dark.

As the words flow from my mind onto the page, hours and hours of writing and planning and rewriting and planning the plot twists. Eventually my eyes start to burn and I can barely keep them open.

I fall asleep.

My nap is short-lived when a loud boom of thunder makes me nearly jump out of my skin. A beautiful grey cat rushes into the room and  hides under my table at my feet.

I crouch down and pick the scared ball of fur up. Immediately she presses her body into me as I scratch down her spine and visually relaxes a little.

"Are you alright love," my voice a little hoarse from not speaking all day. The cat gives me a light meow making me smile.

Looking at the time on the wall I frown, it's a little past midnight. "We better get in bed then we do some exploring tommorow?  What do you think?" The cat looks at me with big eyes as if I'm crazy.

I laugh, "yeah I probably am crazy," I giggle again, "I'm talking to a cat and it's only been a day alone in my mind, without distractions," Slightly shaking my head I walk to the bed.

Once we are situated under the heavy covers a loud boom of thunder sends the cat rushing under the covers and lays between my legs. "Silly kitty, it's alright, " I lightly scratch her head and close my eyes trying to fall asleep.
