-Manchester-
-Jadon's pov-I woke up in my bed to my alarm going off, today was my first football practice with Manchester City and I was nervous. I got ready and had to
Rummage threw some of the moving boxes we hadn't unpacked yet for my boots. I had some breakfast before leaving the house."Are you excited?" my mum asked me as we began to drive.
"Yeah," I smiled even though it wasn't completely true I was excited but the nerves took over. I fiddled with the bracelet on my wrist, I hadn't taken it off since. I did think about Zuriel from time to time, and I did wonder if I would ever bump into her now I've moved to Manchester. We pulled into the training camp and my stomach felt funny, "Have a good time sweetie, you'll be great" my mum said to me reassuringly as she pulled into a parking space.
"Thank you Mum" I smiled at her before getting out and walking into the training camp.
"Are you new?" I heard a voice come up from behind me,
I turned around to see a boy a little shorter than me smiling.
"Yeah I am" I smiled back
"Thought so, I'm Phil nice to meet you," he said as we began walking again "Jadon same goes for you," I replied. We walked onto the pitch and walked over to two men "Hey Phil" one of them smiled before turning to me "You must be Jadon, I'm Kelvin and this is Pedro" he said introducing the other man "Hi" I smiled shyly.
"Just put on football boots on and go join their others I'm sure they will make you feel welcome" Kelvin smiled at me and I nodded."are you new?" A boy way taller than me asked as arrived. "Yes, hi I'm jadon!" I smiled but he just scoffed. "What position do you play?"
He then asked "Forward, mainly left-wing" I smiled but he looked angry and walked away muttering shit about me."What did you say?" I asked him annoyed, I felt someone grab my shoulder and realised it was Phil "Leave it bro" he muttered but I chose to ignore it. "I said that people like you-" the boy began to say turning around "People like me? What's that supposed to mean?" I said taking a step closer to him.
"Okay I see you have all met Jadon, now get yourselves warmed up and run around the pitch till I say stop," Kelvin said coming over.
"Drop it you," he said to the boy trying to cause problems before we all started running."What's his problem?" I asked Phil as we began jogging "Who Tom? God knows, but it doesn't help that he also plays left wing" he replied and I thought to myself I had a lot to prove. "He is an amazing player though, that's the only reason he hasn't been dropped yet" a boy who was running with us joined in and I nodded.
I spoke to the boy a lot more and I found out the had both been coming here since they were 6 years old. After the warm-up, we did some drills, and they were all going well till I and Tom ended up in the same group we were running around passing to each other and I had just received the ball.
Tom was a defender and came running towards me I passed the ball to Christian, one of my teammates but then I saw Tom sliding towards me. Luckily, I acted quick enough and got out of the way, I knew he had done it deliberately."What the hell was that!" I heard Pedro yell at Tom who had now begun to walk off in a strop.
We finished our drills and did some cool-down stretches before we were allowed to go.I was walking out with Phil and Liam and there were a bunch of teens waiting outside. We began to walk past them but I heard someone yell my name, I turned around to the group of people and I saw her.
"Zuriel" I smiled in disbelief walking over to her.
I saw her look at my wrist and smile before pulling up her jumper slightly to show she was wearing her bracelet too. "I thought you would have forgotten about me" I laughed
"Forget about you? Never why would you think that?" she replied smiling.
