Chapter FOURTEEN

ni-ki.

"Gustavo was seen flying out of the country last night. I'm not sure what he has been up to but I smell something not good." Jay said while fidgeting a lighter with fingers.

"And who will he send to come after us or that Serena girl? I figured he found out we killed his right hand man. The one who kidnapped Serena." Sunoo added.

Thinking of Serena's abduction makes my blood boil. My jaw tightened as I grab the glass of alcohol and drink it straight.

"Let's just wait for boss's next instructions." Sunghood suggested.

"By the way," Jake caught our attention by raising his point finger up as if he's about to announce something, "I'm going home to Aussie next week, it will be my brother's wedding and I need to be there."

"Did boss allow you?" Sunoo asked.

"Yup, it's an important occassion so I can't pass on that." He shrugged and took a drink.

"Yeah me too, I need to go back to Seattle to fix some business shits." Jay said as well.

"How long are you guys gonna be away?" Heeseung asked.

"Jake's staying for 3 weeks but I'll be gone for a month or two."

"Damn, I wish I could go somewhere too." Jungwon pouted.

Sunghoon stood up and left the VIP room. I was scrolling through social media as I received a message from my older sister; Konon.

"Mom said if you have time, come home. She misses you."

I'm thinking of going back to Japan for the meantime as well but Serena's here, I can't leave her. I don't know what I would do if something happens to her since I brought her into this trouble.

I replied to Konon's message, "Ok, I'll check."

We all decided to leave the club so we left the VIP room when we heard a small commotion happening at the bar station. We saw Sunghoon having an arguement with someone and they're now face to face.

"Dave stop it." Wait, is that Serena? She looks absolutely beautiful.

But my heart dropped to my stomach when I saw she got swung by that guy's arm, hitting her on the face and making her fall to the ground.

My immediate reaction was to intervene and punch that guy on the face. I grabbed him by the collar and spat. "Touch her again I will shoot a bullet straight to your fucking head. Got it?"

He nodded in fear and scrambled off. Serena was groaning in pain while trying to get up but I scooped her and carried her onto my arms.

"Ni-ki?" She re-assured.

"Omy God, Serena!" A group of girls ran to us with worried looks on their faces.

"Are you her friend?" I asked.

"Yes, please put her down."

I gave her a 'are you fucking serious' look. Put her down? She's wasted as fuck and she asks me to put her down? Fucking pea sized brain she has.

"I mean...she doesn't know you. I'll take her home." She added getting mixed up with her words.

"No, I'll take her home. Your friend is drunk and was smacked on her face and the first thing is you ask me to put her down? I'm Ni-ki, I'm her friend. Just tell me her address."
