"H-how did you get it?" Romeo questioned, staring in shock at the shard on my hand.
"When we were cleaning up the guild hall after the war, I, Personally, cleaned up of what remained of the fairy heart in the basement. The shard along with 6 others, were the only ones undamaged by the impact of Master Mavis." I explained roughly as I twisted the shard to the side.
"One of them had already been used though." I continued but they ignored the comment.
"So how will this help lucy?" Loke asked impatiently.
"As you know, thanks to the lacrima this very shard belonged to, The 2nd master was able to contain Fairy heart at ease and safely trapped for many generations..." I began to explain as I extended my gand, with the shard, towards them.
"If lucy eats this shard, the baby would most likely eat it too and would be able to trap the stronger magic inside of them making it possible for lucy to give birth to the baby at the same time keep herself alive." I continued and they listened in surprise.
"What if the baby doesn't eat it?" Romeo questioned.
"Then the two of them would die if the baby doesn't accept the shard. Because the shard will drain magic from Lucy making her even weaker to give birth to the baby....only now can we hope the baby received natsu's infinite belly." I said while sweat dropping and the two hesitated.
"This is our only hope now in this situation, It's either we lose lucy for real or we both have them safe and sound." I said in a serious tone.
"I-I...don't know.." Romeo replied weakly as he stared down at the floor.
Loke was still hesitant, I mean I get the boy but this is a do or die situation. One wrong move can lose his holder forever...can lose both of them forever.
Suddenly the door burst open and we turned to face it quickly, the nurse had panick written all over her face and some people with the same uniform as her were running behind her in the same direction.
"MRS. ASHLEY IS GIVING BIRTH NOW! WE NEED YOUR SOLUTION!" She yelled in a panicked tone.
I turned to the both of them more serious than ever.
"WE NEED A CHOICE. NOW!" I yelled at the both of them.
Suddenly I saw romeo grit his teeth and before I knew it, he took the lacrima from my hand and ran off to the direction where the other nurses were going.
"Romeo!" Loke yelled and we ran after him along with the nurse.
When we got there lucy was screaming in pain as she tried to rip of the cloth wrapped around her hands like chains to the bed.
She was sweating hard and crying her eyes out while her belly glowed red. Her hair was tied up into a bun and you could see a tiny drop of blood dripping from her lips as she bit it.
Romeo was beside her with tears in his eyes while whispering stuff in her ear.
I went over beside him and placed a hand on his shoulder as I saw him grip the shard even harder making a scratch on his hand.
"You need to fet her to eat it....but don't make her bite it." I explained carefully to the young boy.
Upon the hearing of my voice, lucy turned to me slowly while still biting her lip and tears dripping from her eyes as she shook in pain.
