<Milo's POV> written by Seaweed_Brain26

Milo wakes up from a bad dream today. He is on an island with only an Xbox controller. Forgetting about the dream, he takes a quick shower and washes his hair with cold water. Then he lets it air dry for ten minutes, leaving it in the perfect way he likes.

Milo's baseball teammates forced him to get a mullet, at first he hated it, but it grew on him and earned him many compliments from guys, and girls.

For his clothes, he keeps it simple by putting on his boxer underwear and over it black Gymshark shorts. He picks a light blue Vinyard Vines shirt over his white one. All set, he heads downstairs to make his breakfast.

"Dad," he calls "Dad! We got to go."

Milo finishes eating his avocado toast and, like always, he waits for his dad. Milo loves his dad when he is around, but being the big movie star that he is, he isn't in Milo's life much.

"Just a minute Junior," his dad shouts from a floor above him "Get the keys and start the car."

Milo opens the drawer for the keys and finds six car keys inside. Yeah, also being a big movie star makes them really rich. Milo looks at the keys and chooses the Beamer.

Opening the fourth garage door, Milo unlocks the car and steps into the driver's seat. After pressing the power button, the car roars to life.

"Nice call Junior," says his dad "Haven't used this baby in a hot minute."

"Can I drive?" says Milo "Come on, you know I can do it."

"Not happening kiddo," his dad says, using his hand to usher Milo out. "You don't even have a permit."

"That didn't stop you from letting me drive last week."

"Completely different situation. Now get in before you're late for school."

"You know I hate school," he mumbles

Milo gets in the passenger's seat. His dad pulls out of the driveway and past the gated community. He realizes that this is one of the first real conversations he has had with his dad in a long time. Not wanting it to end, he asks, "How was it a different situation?"

His dad replies with his eyes straight ahead "Everyone's on the road right now. You're not ready for this."

"Come on it's just driving to school," says Milo "I could do this in my sleep."

"I'm sure you could Junior."

Milo sits there in the silence, and it's killing him. He so badly wants to say something, but he's scared, scared that he will scare his dad with all the questions. It's so easy for him at school to be social, like a sixth sense when it comes to people and talking, but with his dad, his tongue just ties up.

From the time he can remember, his dad calls him Junior. It's because he is named after his old man.

His dad didn't tell lots of his mom but one that he engraved was that his mom was the most beautiful woman who caught his eye in seconds, love at first sight, he would say. He never tells him when, why, or how she left. Just that she did, but right before she left she asked him to name the baby after his own name. And his dad listened, naming his baby boy Milo Pulch Jr.

Milo fidgets with the golden chain around his neck. He never takes it off, even when he's on the mound, he has it on. His dad gave it to him on his eighth birthday and said that it was once his mom's.

His dad brings home many women, sometimes even two per day, and it's always the same routine each time. Milo needs to be on his best behavior and make his dad look good. Even though Milo knows that the ladies aren't going to stay for more than two weeks.

Is his dad setting a good example for him? Most likely not. However, he does seem to enjoy himself on those evenings, particularly when they bring their daughter along for him to spend time with.

The car makes a sharp right turn, pulling Milo out of his thoughts. His dad stops at the school kiss-and-ride. Milo slings his backpack over his shoulders. He takes a look at his phone to check the time, shit he has one minute till the bell rings. Luckily his first class of the day is only a few turns from the main entrance.

He starts speed-walking once he gets inside the building. He makes a right, and on the second door to the left is his class.

He walks in just a few seconds before the bell rings and sits down. His teacher is the most boring history teacher in the world. And it doesn't help that Milo has ADHD and dyslexia. Because of that all of his teachers put him in the front row.

As much as he loves having the attention on him. The kids around him just aren't it. He isn't going to judge them by it, it's just that they aren't his type of people.

He was looking forward to lunch with his friends and Calla and Rose in their separate groups, but they always plan to meet up and have fun together at the end of lunch.
