Viserra jolted awake to the sight of her mother sitting on her bed.
'Mother? What's wrong?' She questioned, rather disorientated.
'Are you afraid Aemond is going to hurt you, Viserra?' Rhaenyra asked very concerned.
Honestly, the irony.
'I was, terrified, now that you are queen, however, I doubt he has the nerve.' She said, sitting up on her elbows.
She could not have been more calm about it. But, in her eyes, it was that plain.
Viserra would marry him for the survival of their house. She would not see her mother's reign tore down by some ego-bruised second son.
Rhaenyra's eyes calmed, 'You do not have to wed him.' She said, offering a way out to her daughter.
She knew what it was like to be sold off, and she hated herself for doing it to her daughter. Her only daughter.
'Yesterday I would have screamed with joy at that sentence, now, I am indifferent.' Viserra said, confusing her mother.
She wouldn't give him happiness, she'd ruin his life with a smile on her face.
He deserved nothing less.
'What do you mean?' The Queen wondered, a puzzling look in her eye.
'I will marry Aemond. He does not deserve the opportunity to love someone, I will make sure that he is unable to.' She declared, her gaze as cold as her heart.
She wished him every suffering that he bestowed upon her.
She remembered the days she spent on Dragonstone, yearning for something that no longer existed.
"But he said he loved me?" Viserra sniffled as she curled up into her mother's arms on the chaise, eyes red from crying.
"I know, honey, I know. It is not your fault. Men do as they please, as they always have done. This is no reflection on you. He is just a silly little boy." Rhaenyra imbued lovingly.
Though her tone was calm, she would make sure that Aemond paid for hurting her little girl.
"I don't understand. How could he betray me like this? He said he was going to marry me, be the father of my children." Viserra spoke as her voice cracked, streaks of tears along her cheeks.
'Daughter, that is not a good reason to marry someone. Do you not wish to love?' She questioned the princess. She too remembered those cold days on Dragonstone, how her child cried for the prince.
'Hate is stronger than love, and it will bring me more satisfaction than love ever could.'
He would pay.
He broke the girl, the woman would get retribution. And if need be, with fire and blood.

Viserra ambled through the gardens to no end, King's landing was such a relentless place, there was no end to the irritation.
Though she knew her irritation came from a certain One-eyed perfumed ponce.
She walked along the paths of roses, not particularly minding her path, when she was startled by her aunt.
'Good morrow, Viserra!' Helaena said with such enthusiasm, no one knew where she got her happiness from. It was a marvel she still had any after being married to Aegon.
