〘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗜𝗔 〙|| Anxiety x Fear

(( A/N: sorry for ghosting all of you for a few days i went traveling and when I came back my cranberry juice gave me a stomach virus, this is about to be another short chapter because its 9:32 and I have plans tomorrow 😛 ❤️❤️))

˚₊‧꒰ა Karmic Retribution ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ (i guess..)

Anger begrudgingly brought everyone to the center of headquarters where Joy was, her limp body lied quiet on the control panel, ever-growing.

Joy didn't even bother turning back, she reckoned that the emotions looks of worry- distain- shock- around her was the last thing she wanted to see in her broken state.

Envy's cries only made Joy's heart sink deeper, Envy's little hands clung on Ennui's pants as a form of comfort.

Fear's nerve spiked up "Where is Anxiety- Joy!" He pointed his finger at her angrily awaiting her answer, the silence only made him fume more.

In a moment of clarity Fear shrugged his arms to his sides- shaking, Anger gulped down his worry and spoke for her "Fear- she.." his eyes shifted away trying to avoid Fear's murderous glare "She got ejected.. I.. I tried to help, I just.." Anger looked down, "Holy shit why am I like this now.." he thought.

Fear's eyes widened "Out there?!" He pointed to the windows "I was terrified to go out there myself just a day ago, and if Anxiety's there then.." Fear straightened, he stared back at the window "we need to find her! Now!" His voice sunk, it made him sound scared as if he was pleading.

Joy held her head low, her jaw clenched reminiscing on her bleak situation "If you want to go just go now! Gosh.." her cracky whisper caught the attention of Disgust- who then stared bug-eyed at the walls in-front of Joy.

"Disgust?" Sadness held a hand out for her, Disgust gripped it tight "Look!- LOOK! Look at the walls! The orbs.." everyone darted their eyes over, a grimly array of vines were latched to every memory not ejected to the long term memory, making them unable to move.

All around Joy grew vines, long dark vines like how it was outside, on the walls, on the big screen, even on the panel there were many vines and cracks lined along everything.

"We're going to come back to you, believe me Joy!" Fear rushed over and pulled the lever to the recall tube, ushering everyone inside.

"Anger?!"

Fear's brows went up, his face turned upset seeing Anger so despondent in front of him "We.. we can't.." As much as it pained Anger to be this way, he couldn't bear it any longer, his eyes teared up, he didn't want to leave, that was his only problem, Anger looked up at Fear feeling all of his feelings rushing back to him.

"Maybe there is hope.. Or not.." Anger held himself, his expression dulled "I have to find out, I need to make sure that Joy will be okay.."

Headquarters cracked more and the black vines grew, Fear's lip quivered "Anger, don't be afraid, believe me we're going to come back, we're going to save Anxiety and Joy.."

Anger turned to Fear, his body tensed "And- and listen to me, okay? We're going to stop this together, alright?" "Alright.."

Fear and Anger held hands and walked over to the recall tube and Fear allowed Anger to go inside first, before he went in Fear took one last look back at Joy.

It seemed like Joy wanted to savor a last look as well, as she turned over Fear jerked back.

Her neck cracked back- making her head tilt unsteadily, eyes were sunken in- almost black, her mouth gaped open like it was dislocated. All together in that, black vines came out of her not just from her mouth but her eyes, her body was dark and thin- so thin that you could see her veins, they were also black.

The only bright thing about her were her tiny blue iris's, they were barely visible but there.. Slowly fading.

'What a terrible sight, Fear took a step back, his eyes were widened and crazed in horror- he made sure to leap to the recall tube before it went away.

"Please, If all of that happened to Joy I can't imagine what might happen to us.." Fear imagined them, all of the emotions turning into grotesque beings just like Joy, it made him uneasy.

"I just need to find Anxiety and some cure, some miracle cure to reverse all of this." Fear looked around him outside the tube, no workers were present, it felt barren and cold.

Fear swallowed his guilt and looked forward "Find Anxiety.." he sighed, closing his eyes.

That was his only mission, for now.
