Riley laid in bed for hours, trying to tire her mind out from her plethora of daydreams keeping her awake.

Once the clock hit 1am that was the only time that Riley had been able to sleep, Anxiety called lights out and the emotions were finally left to rest after their exhausting day.

Or at least- lights out for every everyone besides one, Anxiety decided to take on dream duty for the rest of the emotions.

Still, it was only for one reason, a reason that didn't play a part in Riley's dreams.

Anxiety stayed sitting by one of the windows staring out at Riley's mind, now dark, she felt the glass and surveyed the mind closely just as Joy once did.

As much as she shared a dislike for Joy amongst the other emotions she couldn't help but wonder more about her.

Anxiety tucked in her legs, she originally sought to start meditating when she got to the window to clear her head, clearly though, her mind was flooded with worried thoughts, again.

Taking a look around, her eyes seemed lost while navigating them to all of the possible areas, and just as the other emotions, Anxiety felt doomed.

Aside from this morning, Anxiety thought of how no other emotion besides Joy must have realized the cracks and vines growing in the ground while they yelled at each other for hours.

Anxiety took a closer look,

Thin, small, unnoticeable vines.. Black vines that she had never seen those before.

Just as much as Anxiety was thinking about how Joy must have envisioned this she felt an ill feeling inside of her "In the morning, I should apologize for yelling at her.." Anxiety's eyes furrowed thinking about yesterday and how embarrassed she must have made Joy.

Anxiety began to squeeze herself even more just thinking about it.

Light footsteps from behind Anxiety, startled her causing her and causing her hair to spike "I remember the last time we've been like this," behind the smile Fear had put for Anxiety, she could tell that her behavior bothered him.

In the moment Anxiety turned away from Fear unsure of what to say, her eyes stung with a hint of worry.

"I feel so stupid for making you worry like this," Anxiety had this somber feeling inside of her seeing Fear always come back to comfort her, Anxiety always had this sense that Fear was being weighed down from everything around him too, just like her.

Anxiety just knew that he was too scared to speak up about it unlike her, it broke her heart thinking about it "I feel like you're always there for me and I'm not always there for you Fear.." Anxiety began to muffle her words as she continued "you've been trying your hardest, I know that you just want whats best for me but..." Anxiety exhaled- "Don't you think that having one other bad emotion on your shoulder all the time is help anything, I just feel like we're scaring each other at this point."

"Anxiety...? What are you trying to say?" He held his head down seeming shocked "I feel like leading the emotions for Joy would've been hard for you, you seem so stressed out all the time and I love talking to you about your feelings to make you feel less stressed with all of this pressure.. I just never thought that you'd come to believing that!"
