The emotions had lost track of how many hours had passed, the screen had been pitch black for what felt like an eternity.

Everyone seemed to be avoiding each other for the time being, especially Joy, who seemed to be murmuring words to herself by the control panel which freaked everyone out.

Joy had ruffled her hair to match a matted cats and her under-eyes were red as if she'd been crying. Overall she looked..

Crazy.

"Anxiety?" Fear whispered softly into the emotions bedroom before closing the door behind him.

Anxiety was one of the only emotions there at the time, she seemed to have scribbled on a bunch of papers- ripped them- and threw them around by her bed.

Anxiety hadn't responded to Fear, rather, the only thing fear could see was a subtle orange hue coming from the covers, Fear lightly walked over to her, he twirled his hands with each approaching step "Anxiety? Please.. Can we talk?" Fears voice quavered as he tried reaching out to her.

"We can't leave everything like this Anxiety, it feels like no one wants to talk to each other! Or to me, I just feel like you'd be the best option for this." Fear's mouth twisted as he looked to the side "I know how stressful this must be for you, but we need some sort of plan, Joy's behavior is growing on me and now that she's hurt Riley.." he sighed turning back to her "I don't know what to do.. I can't do this by myself ether."

Anxiety raised the covers from her head and turned around, plastering a smile on her face "I'd like that.." she muttered "Even if they might not believe me ether, I can't stand another day with this other Joy.."

As Anxiety and Fear rambled to each other about random ideas Anxiety couldn't help but imply "Fear..?" She felt embarrassed to ask but she could barely keep it in at this point, she felt her heart racing just thinking about that little thought— which made her feel worse on the inside.

Fear turned to her seeming way more energetic and bubbly than when they first started talking, it mase her feel like a bad person "Remember when Joy said that..?" Anxiety whispered.

"Said what?" Fear tilted his head kicking his feet at the edge of the bed listening to her, Anxiety slowly moved towards him "I.. I mean, I don't really know-"

Fear giggled "Oh come on," he put his arm over her shoulder which made Anxiety's eyes widen as she gazed up at him "just tell me"

Anxiety played with her hands nervously, her face reddened "It's just... I'm sorry for mentioning this but.. Do you really love me Fear?"

Fear immediately recoiled back "I MEAN— UH.. Oh wow.." Fear started tapping his fingers together unaware of what to say.

"I know how this could've came out like some big surprise to you and all, but I just genuinely want to know.." Anxiety inched towards Fear and held his hand "I can't help it.. Really.. I've been thinking about what she said this whole time.."

Fear dropped his head quietly, down at his hand on hers, Anxiety faintly moved her other hand to Fear's cheek and rose his head to meet hers, "Fear? Are you alright?" She saw that his eyes were getting puffy and grew concerned.

"I'm fine, Anxiety, really..."  Fear held Anxiety's hand even tighter as a way to ease the pressure he had in himself, the closeness between them made him blush even more "What would you do if I said that I did?" Fear allowed his head to gently rest on her hand that was on his cheek, closing his eyes.

"That I really did and.. I have for the longest.." Fear sniffled, seeing Anxiety's face relax more as she finally put on a genuine smile.

"I could've guessed you did..." Anxiety then moved forward closer to fear and embraced him in a hug, Fear held his hands up not expecting her to do that, he felt frozen not knowing what to do.

Fear giggled "Oh I'm a wreck.." Fear hugged Anxiety back, "What did I do to deserve a girl like you?" Fear held back in the moment but then decided to give Anxiety a quick cheek kiss to lighten her up some more, it made Anxiety laugh.

"What don't you deserve?" The two stared longingly into each other's eyes "Ehh.. Where were we?" Fear remarked, scratching his head.

"Oh yeah.. The whole Joy plan thing, wanna continue on that?" Anxiety jested, leaning onto Fear's shoulder "Of course, love."

The two talked again like they never stopped, at the same time they silently pondered about each other, and about why they put their moment to rest in the first place.

"If I could.." Fear thought "I'd kiss that woman right then and there.."

"I should try to stop being so shy all the time.."
