I have hardly attended any lectures. So I went to class today. Mi-Joo & Soo-Jin said they wanted to hangout with me. We planned to meet on this weekend. I realized how much syllabus I have missed in a span of few days. College is different from school. The professors don't even repeat what they teach. I think I have to catch up quickly or else I would fail this semester.
On my way to canteen, my phone chimed. The notification said - 'You were added to a group : Drama Society 2024'
I tapped the list of members and clicked on Jae's profile.

So he knows how to smile.
"What are you smiling at In-Woo?", Mi-Joo asked.
The smile on my face faded,"Nothing."
"What shall we eat?", Soo-Jin looked at the menu.
"Pork belly, Tteok-bokki and kimchi braised short ribs for me", Mi-Joo said.
"I will just eat a sandwich", I said. "Not very hungry right now."
We ate food and chatted for a while. I told them about my selection in Drama Society. Soo-Jin was selected in the Charity Club. Mi-Joo hadn't apply in any Society as she thought it was a waste of time, to which I agreed. It indeed consumes a lot of time.
"Why did you apply for DramaSoc?", Soo-Jin asked.
"I don't know. That day someone randomly came with a form. I filled it and was shortlisted for the Auditions."
"What in the world? I mean you got in that easily? I heard to apply in the DramaSoc, you have to first clear the Physical & Vocal Round. Then you get shortlisted for the auditions. And you know what! that round is so strenuous. A friend of mine told they had to run around the field 100 times. 100 TIMES?? CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? Also the vocal session was extremely exhausting. Do you have any connections in the DramaSoc?"
I was too stunned to utter a word. Unbelievable!
"Are you guys sure?", I asked in shock.
"Do you think we are lying? I myself can't believe you literally skipped the torture and now became a member."
"I mean...maybe they are just rumors. Don't get me wrong. I trust you. I just want to confirm because I didn't went through that."
"Why would my friend spread rumors? She is in your team only. Her name is Tae-Ri. You can ask her."
"Thanks Soo-Jin."
I still am processing this news. I mean....HOW IN THE WORLD? I would feel uneasy all day, if I don't discover the truth.
"What course is Tae-Ri from?", I asked.
"She is from the Computer Science Department."
Oh! Right. She told it herself in the icebreaking session.
