"This one is for the birthday girl."Lauren said passing a glass bottle over the fire,into Cara's possession.
"Nice."Connor laughed as she reached back into her bag.
"And this is for the rest of us."She said as Connor whooped,and Cara had already began chucking down her drink.
"I assumed you'd reversed your no alcohol policy after Max Hastings and the tiny thimbles."Cara mocked as she crossed her eyes.Pip huffed,elbowing her in the side.
"I tested my hypothesis and came to the conclusion I was right the first time."Pippa remarked with gritted teeth as Connor was offering the bottle of vodka to the boy beside her.
"Who's gonna tell a ghost story?"Connor asked as Alex turned down the bottle.
"Oh Pip,come on."Lauren egged, "give us your top five Andie Bell killer suspects."Lauren ordered,Pip sarcastically raised her brows "you're on the list."
"Where were you on the 19th of April 2019?"She sheepishly asked leaning closer.
"At a sleepover with you."She replied as the people around laughed.
"Oh yeah."she remarked a grin falling onto her face as she leaned back.
"If you're right and Sal didn't kill andie-"Zach began.
"Which is true-he didn't."Alex remarked as Zach nodded.
"Then whoever did is still out there,and if they find out you're looking for them isn't there a chance they could come after you?"He explained,the only sound was the the cracking of the fire and Cara re opening her bottle.
"Or even you?"he said motioning at Pips partner in the case.
"Don't say that."Cara and Alex remarked in synchronisation. "No one's gonna go after Pip."Alex informed him.
"Sorry."He said as Pip shut her eyes shaking her head.
"Nobody's gonna bother with a school girl doing a project."she argued while fixing her posture.
"Have you guys heard of the duct tape killer? He's a serial killer,apparently he wraps duct tape around his victims faces before he strangles them to death."
Connor explained,his facial expressions making his description more gore.
"Gross."Cara remarked,as Pippa and Alex nodded with her.
"Okay."Lauren said pulling out a notepad while making drumming sounds with her voice.
Pip furrowed her brows leaning with her head to the side as she stared at Lauren placing pencils ontop of paper.
"What are we doing?"
"We're playing Charlie Charlie."She smirked as Cara rolled her eyes.
"This is gonna end badly."
"Who are we gonna summon."Alex asked,leaning with his hands propped behind him.
"Oh! Andie bell?"She suggested turning towards Pip who had a sort of glare on her face as she slightly tilted her head.
"Hmm."Cara remarked her tone already sounding drunken as she wrapped her arm around Pips waist.
The way Alex seemed to be staring at Pip was more like he was hoping she'd stop it without telling her to.
Lauren breathed in and out slowly as Connor laughed "shh."Lauren spat quickly.
"You okay?"Cara muttered to the boy sat beside Pippa.
"I'm fine."He replied as Lauren shuffled beside him "Andie..."she said extending the dead girls name into his ear before turning to the paper.
"ArE yOu ThEre?"her voice echoed in a ghostly tone Pippa staring at the paper with an amused look before the pencil spun.
"Oh that can't be real."Connor exclaimed as he looked at the pencils pointing to the word "no."
"It's gotta be fake."Zach assured them.
"Oh come on."Pippa scolded at the childish antics they were participating in as she felt both Cara and Alex budge into her.
"It was the breeze,"Lauren informed them as she adjusted the pencils.
"Surely,if she said she's not there then she has to be."Cara pointed out as Lauren leaned back "Good point."
"Hmm."
"Hmm."
"Andie...Andie...will you speak to us?"Lauren whispered watching as the pencils rotate to yes the group taking in large amounts of air.
"No way!"Connor spat as everyone leaned away from the notebook.
"Andie."Connor said everyone turning to him with startled faces "Are you buried here?"
"What?"he asked noticing the faces everyone looked at him with.
"They never found her body,she could be anywhere."
He said as slowly and cautiously everyone turned to the paper as it turned to yes,the screams of the children echoed through the woods before they laughed.
"I think,I'm gonna head home."Alex said as he sat up,Connor throwing him his bag.
"I'll call you tomorrow,Sarge."He said before Pip could say anything else.
"I'll walk."he added on.
