Lauren lifted her head off the pillow,pulling her Invisalign out.
"I need to pee."she said shaking Pippas shoulder harshly,Cara waking in the process.
"It's like we're pond life.You,me and the rest of us are the bottom feeders,flatworms and the tadpoles just sort of stuck in sediment."Lauren ranted,the two other girls basically sleep walking while locking arms.
"Ant,Ruby and the rest of them exist on the surface-
the boat man and the damselflies.All we can do is just gaze up towards the light."She said as Cara and her parted from Pippa to go pee.
"Speak for yourself."Pippa groaned,her head rolling back from tiredness, "Still,they don't see us."
"Exactly!"Lauren exclaimed as she crouched on the floor.
"Why do you even care what they think?"Pip asked.
"Duh! Because she wants to hook up with Rubyyyy."Lauren said in a teasing tone,even tho what she was saying was true.
Lauren and Cara laughed while Pip processed what she said.
"Why do you want to hook up with Ruby foxcroft?"She spat,her tone almost sounding disgusted.
"Cause she's got perfect thighs."Lauren explained as she pulled up her trousers.
"Yeah,but WHY Ruby Foxcroft?"She repeated.
"Well,you've been having secret assignations with Alexander Walters."Cara argued back,the smile dropping off Lauren's face.
"WHAT? Alexander Walters?"She said,slowly a smirk appearing as she hit the tired girls arm.
"So that's why you're so hooked on the case,cause you've been hooking UP with him."
"That's not why I'm doing it."Pip harshly spat turning to face the girl.
"Hmm."She shrugged,her face saying she clearly didn't believe pip.
"I think we're gonna need to unpack this tomorrow."Lauren assured her as she slid her hand over Pippas shoulder.
"Or not."She replied walking out of Lauren's touch.
"Ok..."Lauren uttered, "Sorry."
"Oh-"Lauren stopped in which the girls copied her,watching her adjust her trousers.
"I peed on my leg."Lauren informed them,all three bursting into tired laughter.
The laughter was cut off by Lauren screaming as a twig snapped.
"Hey,sorry."Alex said,the girl panting while clutching her chest.
"I forgot something important,I just needed to get it."He informed them. "Before you ask it couldn't wait."He added on.
"No.."Pip replied "I was gonna ask,is the guy standing with a flashlight ravi?"She asked,everyone's attention snapping into the woods.
"Shhh."Alex spat,as he slipped himself beside Pip and Lauren.
"Well there's someone there."Pip warned as another twig broke much louder than last,everyone loudly screaming.
Pip broke off her hooked arm with Cara,sprinting ahead.
"Pip!"Alex shouted before jumping off his heels to chase after her.
"Pip! Alex!" Cara shouted,shining her light ahead as Lauren grabbed her hand harshly.
