normal day in germany

It was a normal lunch when I had just finished cleaning my room and wanted to walk my dog. "MOM, WHERE'S LUCKY'S COLLAR?" I screamed down the stairs, desperately searching for the collar. "IN THE BATHROOM!" My mother screamed back. In the bathroom? What does Lucky's collar do in the bathroom?

I quickly ran into the bathroom. Lucky put on his collar and quickly packed my headphones on the way to the door.

On a meadow about 10min from my house, I did a photo shoot with Lucky. I love taking pictures of him! He is so cute!!!
I got him for Christmas two years ago and we've been inseparable ever since!

I gave him a quick treat before we made our way home.
It was quiet when we walked down the street, well 5 seconds ago it was still quiet! This is the moment a grandmother yelled at a man from her window because she said he was under a restraining order. Ugh typical Germany!!
It occurred to me that I still have to plan! It was already the beginning of August and in 5 weeks we were going to go to NYC!!!
I quickly ran home, where my mother was already waiting for food. "No hunger" with these words I ran up the stairs, Lucky still on a leash.

Completely out of breath, I took off Lucky’s collar and sat down at the desk, where I had previously put my laptop, pad and pen in order.
As I smiled at Lucky, who lay contentedly in his basket, something struck me.
'What about Lucky? I mean, there’s no way I can leave him here!” Immediately I opened the laptop and googled 'how to take a dog to New York'.
After finding nothing on the internet, I called my airline. As a precaution, I adjusted my voice a little so I would sound older.
The nice lady on the phone told me that it was no problem as long as the dog wasn't too big and since Lucky is a beagle, that's perfect!

What else do you need to emigrate? I didn’t find much on the internet, so I decided to take it all into my own hands. I would look around my room thinking about what to pack. In a short time I made a list of things I would need!

-Mobile phones
-Charging cable
-powerbank
-iPad
-Airpods
-Make-up
-The clothes
-Jewellery
-Light chain
-lucky's toys and food

I won't find a place to sleep until I get there! I will buy food there too!
I was pretty sure I had everything you need to emigrate.

It was already 5pm, so I quickly changed clothes to go shopping with my mother!

The motor started as soon as my mother turned the key, so I quickly plugged my airpods into my ear. Whenever I listened to music, my thoughts were exchanged and it was the same this time. My eyes looked tired out of the window if a beautiful melody had sounded in my ears. On the longer drive to the department store it started to rain, which I liked, because I really liked playing water drop races.
I love this game! I quickly picked out two drops on the disc and waited for one to reach the target, which was the end of the window.

I was so focused on the raindrops that I didn’t even realize we had arrived at the department store. We didn't need much just a usual weekly shopping, so after half an hour we had everything and ran towards the cash register.

I stopped. My eyes were on a puzzle. A puzzle showing the Manhattan skyline. On the puzzle it was night, which made the city seem even more magical than it already was.

When I saw my mother standing at the checkout line clearing out the shopping, I quickly grabbed the puzzle and ran to her.
"Mom pleaseeeeeeeee" I begged until she finally gave in and I happily walked to the car with my new puzzle in my arms.

The return journey felt faster than the journey. Why is this always the case? I once heard that the journey feels longer and longer, because you do not know the area yet and on the return journey you have already seen everything and this makes it faster. Is that true? Maybe that’s why it seems like time goes by faster as you get older!
