"Are you all set?" Matt inquired, poking his head around the doorframe into her room.

Vixey's suitcase was positioned on the beige carpet, unzipped and overflowing with various garments, creating a chaotic and colorful display across the floor. He let out a sigh, feeling the weight of the day on his shoulders, and then he gently pushed open the heavy wooden door, taking a moment to survey the room with a sense of weariness and curiosity.

Matt noticed her as she sat huddled by the closet, head buried in her knees. As he approached, she felt his gentle presence and just barely saw him kneel down before her. His hand, so tender and warm, swept through her hair as she released a soft, barely audible sigh.

"What's the matter?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

Vixey slowly lifte her gaze to meet his, and the golden warmth in his eyes washes over her, causing a comforting sensation to spread through her body. As she uttered the words, "Lance will be here when I return," her voice quivered, barely rising above a whisper. It was as if she were a mouse cornered by a cat, feeling small and vulnerable.

Matt sighed again and replied, "Yeah, but don't worry, I'll be here with you." He flashed a small, reassuring smile.

Vixey quietly lifted the corners of her lips into a small, tender smile before gently reaching up to wipe away the delicate tears that lingered, poised to overflow from her eyes. Matt reaches out his hand, and she places her hand gently in his. With his help, she rises to her feet, feeling a mix of gratitude and relief. As she stand, he pulls her into a small but warm embrace, she responds with equal appreciation, feeling supported and understood in that moment.

"Come on, let's get you packed," he says with a warm smile as he leads her over to the open suitcase. Together, they carefully fold and place each item, making sure to have everything she'll need. After a final check, they both walk to the living room.

Snatching the house keys from the table, he makes his way to the door. Vixey feels a mix of emotions as she follows along slowly. She should be feeling excited, but a part of her doesn't want Matt to leave. As they walk to her family's home, a sense of peaceful silence envelops them, creating a comfortable atmosphere filled with quiet understanding.

"Um, hey Matt?" she stammers, voice barely above a whisper, betraying the nervousness she felt.

As he turns his gaze towards her, she notice a slight tilt of his head and a gentle, thoughtful hum escaping his lips, indicating his attentiveness. She let out a soft sigh, feeling her feet gradually coming to a stop. Matt glances back at her, a hint of confusion creeping into his expression.

Vixey's voice quivered as she spoke, "Y-you could stay ya know..." she could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she turned her attention to the ground, unable to meet his gaze.

She could feel the weight of Matt's silence pressing down on her, amplifying the pounding of her heart. Suddenly, she sensed his presence as his face drew closer to her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "You know I would if I could."

Vixey's breath caught as she bit her lip in response to his soft, soothing voice. Closing her eyes, savoring the moment before finally speaking. "You could, though," she whispered, the words lingering in the air with a hint of vulnerability.

As he leaned back, he didn't create much distance between them. Instead, he positioned himself just far enough so that when he reached out and gently grasped her chin, he guided her gaze back towards him. Their eyes met, creating an electric spark that made time stand still. He leaned in and gently brushed his lips against hers, savoring the moment as their connection deepened.
