For moonbeam the day started normally. Get up, have breakfast and get on with the day.
Moonbeam spoke with twilight before twilight left with spike to practice some new spells and since moonbeam was still on a magic cleanse she decided to go help applejack with her new cellar.
Everything seemed normal. No disasters, no monsters crawling out of the woods, and no random problems to solve. It was actually kind of boring.
Moonbeam was helping put the support beams in for the stairs whilst applejack had nipped into town to get some more paint when she felt something odd.
It felt like something pinging off her face and then like a slimy weight rested there.
Grossed out and slightly annoyed moonbeam swipped at her face with her hooves to remove what ever was apparently stuck to her face.
Looking at her hooves to see it there was anything there and frowning when there was nothing. Moonbeam shuddered a little at the feeling of slime still on her face and went to find a mirror.
When she found a mirror in applejack barn (apparently it was put there to scare predators out the barn and keep the animals calm), moonbeam frowned at her reflection as the only thing on her face was dust from cutting wood.
She sighed and gave her face a quick rinse and then dried it and finally she felt clean.
"That was odd." She mumbled to herself.
She stood to head out only yelp as a wave of pain washed over her body. She clenched her eyes closed and felt slight dizziness wash over her as she lowered her head and front hooves to the ground. The pain left as soon as it came, and the moonbeam once again felt fine.
"Moonbeam?" She heard an applejack call from outside, and moonbeam shrugged and went to meet her.
"Over hear applejack" moonbeam paused as she watched applejack worriedly glance at the sky as she approached. "What's wrong?"
"Oh, pinkie has the twitches, gonna have to keep an eye out for stuff but we should be fine at the farm, it's twilight I'm worried about" applejack replied with a slight frown as she glanced over her shoulder towards the town.
Moonbeam blinked in confusion "wait pinkies twitching that means I should be worried about twilight? I'm confused?"
"Ah yeah, I forgot, you don't know either, well it's hard to explain, pinkie would do a better job but she sometimes gets these little twitches and niggly feelings that predict when things happen. I just saw in town pinkie had a twitchy tail and a frog landed on twilight's face! Then she fell in a ditch..."
"Twilight fell in a ditch!" Moonbeam yelled "was she okay!?"
"Aw she was fine, got back up and dusted her self off, but er she doesn't belive pinkies senses" applejack replied calmly.
"Pinkies senses predict things?" Moonbeam asked with a raised eyebrow. Twilight wouldn't believe that, moonbeam however could belive pinkie pie could be that random.
"Yep" applejack replied happily as she headed back towards the new cellar with the paint. Moonbeam followed after an uneasy glance back towards town.
"So... tell me more about these.. pinkie sense.."
"Ah well a twitchy tail means something is gonna fall, this mornin pinkies tail was twitchin and bam a frog fell on twilights face! Twilight was not impressed"
"I'll bet" moonbeam allowed a mischievous smile before refocusing.
"But pinkies tail didn't stop twitchin, then twilight fell! I can't Fathom how she still thinks it's a coincidence!"
