Moonbeam was putting away the books she had spent all night reading. She was knackered.
She yawned as she heard twilight and spike come down the stairs.
"Morning spike, twilight"
"Morning moonbeam, have you been up all night again?" Twilight asked
Moonbeam lifted a hoof and folded her ears in an attempt to look innocent. Twilight did not look impressed but before any arguments or lecture could be had spike bleached a big green flame.
When the flame disappeared the baby dragon heald a scroll with the royal seal.
"What ya got the spike?" Moong asked, wipping away twilight's dissaproval.
Moonbeam read the letter out loud.
"Dear twilight,
You may have noticed the giant cloud of smoke starting to turn the clouds black.
Do not worry, I have already sent the Wonderbolts to check out the health hazard and have discovered it it not a fire but a napping dragon.
However that cloud of smoke must be stopped and the dragon must be moved. Equestria would simply not survive 1000 years in darkness.
This is why you and your friends must wake the dragon and convince him to leave.

Moonbeam ran to tbe window and gasped at the giant cloud of black smoke.
Twilight had gone straight to the draw with scrolls, quills and ink. She of course started to make a checklist of what to pack.
Moony just went straight to packing, she went to reach for a telescope on one of the top shelves only to yelp.
"Ow!" She cried as she curled to try and reverse the pinching and stabby feeling just below her shoulder blades. Her eyes filled with tears and she whimpered.
Twilight ran over in worry. "Moonbeam, what happened are you ok?"
Twilight helped her sister up. Moknbeam breathed "yeah I'm OK, im just tired, why don't I head out and gather the girls whilst you pack"
Twilight smiled "sure, I'll be right there"
"Oh wait don't forget the.."
"Telescope, book on dragons and "
"The map?" Moonbeam said pointedly as she walked out the door.
"The map, right " Twilight blushed
Moonbeam trotted into town. She winched as her shoulders twinged.
When she got there she saw fluttershy trying to talk to people, rainbow playing kick ups, pinkie being pinkie and applejack watchi rainbow with rarity.
Moonbeam smiled, and trotted one.
When she got close she heard rainbow counting "Three hundred fifty four..."
For some reason pinkie started counting too "Five, six"
"Three hundred fifty five, no, wait..." "seven, eight." Pinkie carried on confusing rainbow and moony couldn't help but giggle. She rolled her shoulders trying to ease the tension.
"
Pinkie Pie! Now I have to start over." The blue pony whined the four ponies watching laughed.
"We're all going to have to start over, in a new village. 'Cause ours is gonna be-" fluttershy tried to say but no pony heard her.
