The world was my new high school, the deadliest place to exist for someone like me.

The Hawkthrone Academy was my personal hell and the place where all my demons came to life.

It was an elite school where rich kids, snobbier than their rich parents, studied, played and fucked their way through the years.

I meant the "new" subjectively.

I wasn't new. I was a senior, starting this year.

But I always felt new because I didn't belong.

I was the dust on their foot, the victim of their excruciating words and the object of unleashing their pent up rage.

And at their throne sat the kings, in all their power and glory, the Hawks, who were worshipped and the ground they walked on embraced and kissed.

Literally.

The Hawks were the nightmare trio.

There was Lucas Reed, star quarterback and the son of some minister who managed the finances of the country. He had this gravitating "golden boy" aura evryone was attracted to.

With his golden-brown hair which was always a mess on top of his head and his dimpled smile, he fucked every girl he looked at.

But he was the friendliest of the group and the only person with a heart among the three.

Then there was Caspian Atkinson, a swimmer going pro since last year. His mother was an actress back in the day and married some billionaire while still in her youth. Caspian was born out of wedlock or that's what they all say. But he didn't let that stop him, he was the hottest swimmer and had already won 3 medals in this league.

Caspian had hair like black ink which fell on top of his forehead. He was reserved and closed off, always first in class and with a book in his hand.

He was inapproachable though. He fucked girls, alright, but he never let them get close. Ever.

And then there was Kai Lloyd, the person who made his life's goal to break me and make me fall at his mercy.

Old money rich and with a trust fund enough to sustain a whole city and their four generations, he took pride in the destruction he caused and the hell he broke loose.

He's a hockey star at our school, the king of the kings who sat on the highest possible imaginary throne and waited for everyone to kiss his shoe strings.

He's the tallest of the three or maybe that's just perspective, they have the same giant height and the enigmatic, energetic and alluring aura which draws in girls, every single one of them at our school.

His tousled brown hair compliments his face so much, so much that it despised me.

Such an ugly human being should be hated by everyone. But he wasn't.
