They had been walking quietly for a few minutes when suddenly Yuya started giggling uncontrollably. His giggles caused him to snort a little, which was something he only did when he was truly amused. He never snorted when he was laughing to hide his sadness. So naturally Gongenzaka was curious. "What's got you so giggly?"
Yuya continued to giggle, trying to get himself under control. Eventually his giggles subsided enough for him to speak. "R-remember how you thought I was a girl the first time we met?"
Gongenzaka blushed. He definitely remembered. Yuya had been so small and cute, and had such big eyes that the bigger boy had thought he was a girl. He could still remember how shocked he'd been when Yusho had introduced Yuya as "My son, Yuya." The bigger boy had blurted out, "Wait you're a boy?! I thought you were a girl!"
His father had been standing next to him at the time, and had been mortified. "Noboru!" he'd gasped. Meanwhile, Yuya had just been quietly shocked for a moment, before bursting into giggles that made him snort. Gongenzaka's father had apologized profusely, scandalized by his son's words. Fortunately, Yuya had made it very clear that he thought it was hilarious.
Yuya still liked to bring the subject up every now and then. Even now, years later, he still thought it was hilarious. Gongenzaka shook his head, smiling down at Yuya. "You're never going to let that go, are you?"
"Nope, never!" Yuya giggled. "It's too funny!"
Gongenzaka chuckled. "Well, I'm glad you still think so!"
