Y/N snoozed away on his bed at 12:28 in the morning while still wearing his clothes, excluding his jacket. His radio clock's pop tune was cut off by the phone in Y/N's room ringing. Sleepily, Y/N woke up and answered.

    "Hello," he said groggily.

"Y/N, you didn't fall asleep, did you?" Doc's voice asked from the other end.

"Ah, Doc," Y/N said as he checked his watch before shaking it, thinking it was broken. "Uh, no. No, don't be silly."

"Listen, this is very important," Doc said. "I forgot my video camera. I tried reaching Jenna, but she didn't answer. I need you to call her and then stop by my place and pick it up on your way to the mall. Can you do that?"

"Yeah," Y/N answered. "I'm calling her right now." Y/N then hung up the receiver before picking it up again and calling the number Jenna gave him.

"Hello?" the girl's tired voice asked on the other end.

"Jenna, it's Y/N," the boy answered. "Listen, Doc needs us at the mall soon. I gotta pick up his camera and then I'll be there."

"Okay," she answered. "I'll have to see if I can swipe my dad's keys."

"Perfect. I'll see you there." He then hung up, stood up, and picked up his jacket and red vest. Quietly, he snuck out of the house, grabbed his skateboard and Walkman, and made his way over to Twin Pines Mall.

Just as the clock at Twin Pines Mall changed from 1:15 to 1:16, Y/N skated up to the parking lot with Doc's camera in his hand. The only vehicle in the parking lot was a white van with the words "Dr. E. Brown Enterprises" written on the sides with a dog sitting behind it. But the owner of both was nowhere to be found.

As Y/N skated down to the parking lot, a car pulled in, passed him, and parked right in front of the van. It was the Ortega station wagon. Stepping out of the driver's door was Jenna, who wore her same outfit as earlier that day, except the sweater was now tied around her waist.

"Einstein," Y/N said as he skated up to the dog.

"Hey, Einie!" Jenna said in her baby voice as she knelt down and began petting the dog. If there were two things Jenna loved in the world, they were babies and dogs. "Where's the doc, boy?"

"Yeah, where's Doc?" Y/N asked Einstein.

A machine's whirring answered the teens' question. The back of the van opened up into a ramp as smoke poured from the inside of the vehicle. Jenna and Y/N both stood up as they looked inside and saw what the van was hiding.

It was a DeLorean that was heavily modified. Two turbo-like boosters were on the back of the car with a strange circular device right between them and tubes running along the sides. A license plate that read "OUTATIME" was on the car's backside.

Once the car pulled onto the driveway, the drivers-side door swung upward, and out stepped Dr. Emmett Brown.

Doc was an aging man, with long silver hair and wild brown eyes. He had wrinkles all over his face, depicting his age. He wore a white radiation suit and held a clipboard in his hand and a pen in his teeth. Around his neck was a stopwatch.

"Doc!" Y/N said as he and Jenna stepped up to their friend. Doc pulled the pen from out of his teeth and greeted the teenagers with a smile.

"Y/N! Jenna!" he said. "You both made it!" He then hugged Jenna as Y/N said, "Yeah."

"Welcome to my latest experiment," the doc said as he gestured to the car. "This is the big one. The one I've been waiting for all my life."

"It's a DeLorean," Jenna said as she gestured to the vehicle.
