Jungkook's POV:
I slumped back in my chair, feeling the weight of guilt bearing down on me. That accident had been my fault, and I couldn't shake the image of Y/N's bike crumpled on the ground. I needed to make things right.
"Mr. Kim!" I called out, my voice firm but laced with urgency.
My secretary appeared almost instantly, bowing slightly. "Yes, Mr. Jeon?"
I nodded, trying to composed myself. "I was in an accident earlier today. A woman on a Harley...it was my fault. Luckily, she's okay, but her bike is damaged. I want you to make sure it's repaired."
Mr. Kim's expression turned serious. "Of course, sir."
I leaned forward, my eyes locked onto his. "I want it done privately, Mr. Kim. Retrieve it from the company and get it done under my name. I need you to make sure of that."
Mr. Kim nodded, his face a mask of understanding. "Understood, sir. I'll take care of it."
I watched as he bowed and exited my office, feeling a small sense of relief wash over me. It was the least I could do. Now, all I could do was hope that Y/N would forgive me for my recklessness.
I was lost in thought, my mind still reeling from the accident, when a knock on the door broke the silence. "Come in," I called out, my voice a little more abrupt than I intended.
Mr. Kim entered, his expression apologetic. "Sorry to disturb you again, Mr. Jeon."
I waved my hand, gesturing for him to approach. "What is it, Mr. Kim?"
He hesitated, his eyes darting to the side before meeting mine. "It's about your car, sir. It's also damaged from the accident."
I felt a twinge of annoyance, my mind still focused on Y/N and her bike. "Yes, yes. Get it repaired," I said curtly.
Mr. Kim nodded, his expression serious. "Right away, sir. I'll make sure it's done as soon as possible."
I nodded, my mind flooded with the tender deal we have got to finalize, burden of work and now this accident that I caused. "Good. Thank you, Mr. Kim."
I let out a deep sigh, my eyes fixed on my laptop screen as I tried to make sense of the numbers and data in front of me. My mind was racing with worries about the recent tender, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had been building up in my chest.
Just as I was starting to get lost in my thoughts, my phone rang, breaking the silence in my office. I hesitated for a moment before answering, knowing that I couldn't avoid my father's call.
"Dad," I said, trying to sound calm and composed.
"Jungkook, how are things going?" my father's voice was firm and commanding, as always.
I took a deep breath before launching into an update about the tender and the issues we were facing. He listened intently, his silence punctuated only by the occasional grunt or murmur of understanding.
As I spoke, I couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration and anxiety. His expectations were always high, and I knew that he wouldn't hesitate to express his disappointment if things didn't go according to plan.
But for now, I pushed on, hoping that my words would be enough to alleviate his concerns and buy me some time to get things back on track.
"My team is working hard to resolve the issues, Dad," I continued, trying to sound more confident than I felt. "We'll get it sorted out, I promise."
