After Wheels had turned the TV on, playing the news, the other kids had quickly sat down, wanting to know what was going on with their parents. Walker wasn't surprised to find that their dad wasn't there, considering he was merely an old man who physically couldn't go on missions anymore. The perks of having elderly parents.

Poor dad.

"You know this is an epic Heroic smackdown event when they've called in Sharkboy!"

The kids watch closely, eyes glued to the screen as they watch a clip of Sharkboy returning to land while the male anchor speaks.

"Earlier today, Sharkboy appeared from the ocean depths, landing on the beach of South Padre Island."

The female anchor continues, "And moments later, Lavagirl blasted up from inside an active volcano."

Guppy smiles, seeing her parents on the screen. So wholesome for a little eight year old.

"And here's Mayor Doolittle at today's ribbon cutting for his new city hall, rebuilt after last time the Heroics went into action."

Planes pass by in the sky, popping noises audible. The ribbon, once the mayor on screen looks back at it, is cut.

"Did you see that? Of course you didn't!" The anchor fake smiles, "That means it's none other than Blinding Fast, the fastest Heroic on the planet."

Walker passes a note to Lucas, not wanting to try and worry the younger teens.

"Why are they all magically showing up? And why were Missy and I forced out of school to be here?"

Lucas shrugs, biting the inside of his cheek before looking up at the screen again.

"And here comes Crushing Low!" The Heroic smashes into the glass, quickly destroying the new building. These poor tax paying civilians.

"And there goes the mayor's new building in record time."

"These battles are extremely expensive for taxpayers, but so entertaining."

Walker turns their music back on, offering the other wired earbud to Lucas, who accepts. Another Gorillaz's song plays, All Alone. Slo-Mo passes the popcorn back to Lucas as the anchors continue talking on the television.

"This is unprecedented. All of the Heroics have been called into action against the alien threat."

"We're getting some live footage now,"

The screen switches to an anchor standing on a rooftop in a bright pink dress in front of one of the alien spaceship things.

"And look who's back in action. It's Miracle Guy!" She exclaims into the microphone, "You didn't expect him to actually lose, did you?" She rhetorically asks the audience, referring to the widespread clip of him and Tech-No falling from the atmosphere that morning.

The camera looks over at a parade of flying heroes, including Miracle Guy himself, Lavagirl, Tech-No, and Blinding Fast. A few others use their own flying technology, such as Sharkboy and Marcus Moreno.

Missy furrows her eyebrows upon seeing her father on screen. "He's not supposed to be there,"

The alien spaceship opens up, revealing dozens of mini versions of itself. Miracle Guy is quickly thrown into a building and lands on a rooftop.

"No one's ever taken down Miracle Guy," Noodle comments.

Guppy gasps, seeing that her father got snatched up by the aliens. As Miracle Guy wobbles his way to his feet, the aliens catch him as well.
