Yoko Apasara, who is doing her master degree and her friends were buzzing with excitement as their van pulled up to the Amor resort. The luxurious beachside property in Thailand was renowned for its breathtaking views and top-notch amenities. It was the perfect location for Summer vacation and Lisa's 25th birthday celebration, they had been planning for months.
As they stepped out of the van, Yoko took a deep breath, inhaling the salty sea air. She looked around, taking in the beauty of the resort. The lush gardens, the sparkling blue pools, and the stunning beachfront views were even more impressive in person. It was no wonder this place was so popular.
"Wow, this place is amazing," Yoko's friend, Tina, said, echoing Yoko's thoughts. "I can't believe we're actually here."
"Me neither," Yoko replied, her eyes wide with awe. "It's like a dream come true."
Their excitement was interrupted by a warm voice. "Welcome to Amor," said a stunning woman with long, flowing hair and a radiant smile. "I'm Faye Malisorn, the owner of the resort. I hope you all have a wonderful stay here."
Yoko's heart skipped a beat. She had known Faye for two years, as her father's resort was nearby, but she had never seen her look so breathtaking. Faye was 31, but she looked like she could be in her early 20s. Her youthful appearance and striking beauty made her the talk of the resort.
"Thank you, P'Faye," Yoko replied, using the Thai honorific for someone older. Despite the pleasantries, there was an underlying tension. Faye's composed demeanor and Yoko's spirited nature seemed to clash.
Faye's smile never wavered. "If you need anything at all during your stay, please don't hesitate to ask. My staff and I are here to make sure you have an unforgettable experience."
As Faye walked away to greet other guests, Yoko couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and frustration. She admired Faye's beauty and poise, but their past interactions had always been polite but distant. Yoko wondered if this trip might change that.

The group was shown to their suite, a spacious and elegantly decorated room with a balcony overlooking the beach. They quickly unpacked and changed into their swimsuits, eager to start their vacation. The first day was filled with excitement. They played beach volleyball, went jet skiing, and lounged by the pool. The resort's amenities were top-notch, and everyone was having the time of their lives.
As the sun began to set, they gathered for a lavish birthday dinner by the beach. The staff had set up a beautiful table with fairy lights and flowers, and the food was a delicious array of Thai and international dishes.
"This is the best birthday ever," Lisa said, raising her glass in a toast. "Thank you all for being here and making it so special."
As the night progressed, Yoko found herself stealing glances at Faye, who was mingling with the guests. Despite their rocky start, there was something about Faye that intrigued her. She couldn't help but wonder what lay beneath that composed exterior.

The next morning, Yoko woke up early and decided to take a walk on the beach. She loved the feeling of the sand between her toes and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was a perfect way to start the day.As she walked, she noticed Faye sitting alone on a lounge chair, watching the sunrise. Yoko hesitated for a moment before deciding to approach her.
"Good morning, P'Faye," Yoko said, trying to sound casual.
Faye looked up and smiled. "Good morning, Yoko. Enjoying the sunrise?"
"Yes, it's beautiful," Yoko replied. "I didn't expect to see you up so early."
