Looking in the mirror was something I rarely do unless I'm applying make-up, but in this case, I was merely staring at the new image of myself I saw. I roll up the ends of my overalls letting the purple fuzzy socks be seen, the dark purple turtleneck made my cheeks look rounder. A sigh escapes my lips as I pat them lightly, "Lizzy? Are you almost done?" Seungkwan's voice stops my voice of self-doubt from slipping. A smile forms on my lips as I fix the baby blue headband before I grab my book bag, "Yeah," I say walking out of the room.
Seungkwan smiles, "You look so cute," He says pinching my cheeks softly. I rolled my eyes, "Let's go Soonyoung has been calling." I said. He chuckles, "Of course he is." He says. I slip into my black coat and baby-blue sneakers before stepping out of the apartment with him, after locking the door I rush to catch up with Seungkwan in the elevator.
I smile as we step in, "Mingyu is already there along with Minghao," He says looking at his phone. I hum in response, "Okay," I said. The elevator reached the parking garage, Seungkwan had parked his car on the lower level due to finding no open spots upstairs. I let a small huff of breath out, we stepped off the elevator. Seungkwan stops walking I look at him confused, and he grabs my shoulders. "Today you will have fun, you'll eat plenty of tasty food, and best of all you will relax and breathe without a worry okay?" He says squeezing my shoulders, I smile. "Okay," I said, he nodded and opened the passenger door of his Honda Civic Sports.
I will let my mind breathe, I will let myself relax without care and worry.
I look at my phone for the seventh time since we've gotten in the car, I bite my bottom lip and turn the phone off. "What's wrong?" Seungkwan asks, I look at him. "What?" I asked, Seungkwan stopped at a red light. "You've eyeing your phone since we left the complex, so what's wrong?" He asked, he spares a glance. "You can talk to me," He says, I let a small sigh leave my lips. "It's...just...it's just that I haven't heard from Wonwoo since the doctor's office." my tone of voice gives away how Wonwoo's short absence is affecting me.
Seungkwan let out a small sigh, "Don't worry, he's probably busy. I mean he is a surgeon, he's busy saving lives. He'll call you." He says as the light turns green. I bite my bottom lip, what if he doesn't?
I bite my bottom lip as we arrive at a fancy luxury building, I furrow my brows in confusion as Seungkwan opens the door for me. "Good morning Mr. Boo the net and equipment has been all set, Mr. Choi, Mr. Xu, Mr. Kim, and Mr. Kwon are all waiting for your arrival." A man who seems to be in his early twenties greets Seungkwan with such mannerisms that would be seen in dramas. I look at Seungkwan as he grabs my hand, "Thank you, Devon let my mother Mrs. Boo know that I'll be rearranging the meeting." Seungkwan says. Devon nods and bows before leaving, "Okay Mr. Boo...what?" I asked.
Seungkwan sighs as we walk inside the building, "It's nothing," He says as we enter a dark grey hall. "Nothing? Seungkwan that guy Devon was treating you like royalty." I said as he opened a black wooden door, revealing a beige room filled with navy blue velvet couches. A black-themed kitchen and a seventy-five-inch flat-screen sitting on a drawer surrounded by gold medals of Tennis, Badminton, and Soccer. Seungkwan rolled his eyes as he let me inside the room, "I'm going to get dressed in the proper attire for Tennis. We'll talk about all that later." He says disappearing behind a black door.
A sigh escapes my lips as I slip out of my coat, I set my book bag down on the couch. Removing my sneakers I sit on the black reclining loveseat holding my books close as I get comfortable, I bite my lip and open the book. I let out a small giggle realizing that I was reading Sweetest Taboo by J. Kenner at Seungkwan's apartment, I shook my head lightly and continued to read the book.
Muffled voices could be heard from outside the door, I rolled my eyes and tried to focus on the page.
The door opens, "No I'm never late for anything." Soonyoung's whiny voice made me close my book. I look at the bachelors walking in, well not all of them are single. "Lizbeth? What a surprise?" Minghao's flirtatious tone made me smile, I bring my knees to my chest as Mingyu rushes in with a grin. "Yah, you're here." He says. I softy waved at them, "Hi," I said sheepishly. Seungcheol smiles faintly and sits on the empty couch, Minghao smiles and walks over to sit with me. "Where's Seungkwan?" Soonyoung says as he follows behind Minghao, I'm trapped between them. I sigh and look at my book, "He's getting dressed for the Tennis match you guys are having." I said.
