Chapter 9

Hinata arrived at your house, propping his bike up on the side of your house. He fixed the bag on his shoulder and casually approached your door. He knocked quickly and then waited for you. He could hear you rummaging through your home, your steps getting louder until you approached the door and unlocked the door. You opened it and smiled at Hinata.

"Hi! Good to see you again!" Hinata cheered. You giggled and nodded.

"Yeah, it's good to see you too!" You said timidly, yet excitedly. "Come in!" You moved out of the doorway for Hinata to walk in. The aroma of food hit Hinata's nose and he started to drool a bit.

"What did you cook up? It smells amazing!" Hinata commented, which made you giggle.

"I didn't cook anything, just order some takeout. There's plenty for you though!" You said and handed him a plate made with beautiful and delicious Brazilian food. Hinata smiled and took the plate from you.

"Thank you (Y/N)." He said and you lead him to your island counter, letting him sit down and eat. You two quickly started talking about work life and how exhausted you both were.

"How was work on the beach?" Hinata asked.

"Not super busy, it was slow enough for me to go home and have Naomi take over."

"Really? I thought you would've been busy since you took a nap." Hinata laughed. You laughed too.

"I was just super tired for some odd reason and a nap sounded great." You said as you giggled, taking another bite of your food. "What about for you? How was delivering food?" Hinata sighed.

"Rough..." He whispered. "I messed up someone's order and gave them the wrong item, but in my defense, I'm still learning Portuguese!"

"Well, if you need help," You stated as you laughed. "I can teach you some tricks that'll help you learn Portuguese better."

"You'd do that for me?" You nodded at his question. He smiled and thanked you.

After eating, you sat down for a movie, which Hinata chose. He waited for you on your couch as you grabbed pillows, blankets, candy, and popcorn. Hinata sat back, looking at the screen of the paused movie. He blankly stared at the screen as he thought deeply about you.

You returned quickly with all the things you wanted, throwing everything on top of Hinata. Blankets went over his head so he couldn't see and the pillows surrounding him made it hard to escape. Hinata moved everything finally to look over at you as you placed a bowl of popcorn down on your coffee table. You looked at him and giggled.

"Your hair is a mess." You giggled, fixing his hair a little. Hinata pulled you into his embrace under the blankets. You squealed and started laughing hard. Hinata was laughing with you, moving himself to get comfortable on the couch. He settled with sitting up, crisscrossed. You sat beside Hinata, his arm placed around you.

You grabbed the remote and started the movie. You got comfortable with Hinata as you leaned your head on his shoulder and he did the same. There was a comfortable silence between you two as you watched the movie.

Halfway through the movie, Hinata looked down at you – he was making sure you weren't asleep. You were invested in the movie, which made Hinata happy. He smiled, enjoying seeing you so relaxed and he liked having you in his arms like this. It made him regret not kissing you the other night. The thought lingered in his mind of kissing you, but he quickly pushed his thoughts away. He looked at the movie once more and watched the rest of it.

The credits of the movie were playing. You yawned and stretched. After your stretch, you moved back into Hinata's arms.

"That was a good movie,"

"Yeah, it's been one of my favorites since I was a kid. I'm glad you enjoyed it." Hinata said softly and smiled. You sighed.

"Well, what do you wanna do now?" Hinata asked as he adjusted his position on the couch to face you, his arm still around you. You thought for a bit.

"Let's talk some more!" You suggested happily.

"Aren't you tired?"

"Not tired enough to not talk to you..." You said, softly. Hinata looked down at you staring at your (E/C) eyes. He smiled and chuckled.

"Alright!"
