How Kat Ended Up At The Isle Of The Lost

My name is Kat Cheshire, daughter of the Cheshire Cat and this is my story.

5 Years Ago in Wonderland
It all started like a normal day, my dad went to work with the Mad Hatter and I was left home alone with my best friend Madelyn Hatter, the Mad Hatter's daughter. Our families grew up together so her and I were basically sisters.
"Hey Kitty! What should we do today!" I hear Maddie say as she walks into my room and jumps on my bed.
I thought for a bit before coming up with a plan, "I have an idea!" I jump up out of bed grabbing her hand and head to the kitchen.
"What's your idea!" Maddie looks at me with wide eyes.
I smile at her and open the pantry, "We should bake cupcakes for our dads when they get back!"
Maddie squeals as she jumps up and down, "Oh my gosh! Yes that sounds perfect!"
I grab the cook book from one of the shelves and open it up finding a perfect recipe for red velvet cupcakes and show Maddie.
"That looks perfect Kitty! They're going to love this!" I smile at her as she hugs me, I go to the radio and turn it on as music starts to fill the room.
I start getting the batter ready for the cupcakes as Maddie starts making the frosting.
"Hey Maddie I'm going to put the cupcakes in the even now!" She looks over and nods her head as she continues with the frosting.
I decide the walk around the house and end up in my dads room, I look around and open his door. Even though I'm his daughter I've hardly been in here. I walk in and gasp at how large is room is. I stare at his room admiring how beautifully organized it is, but that makes sense since my father is a neat freak.
I sit on his bed until I see a picture, I get up and walk towards it. I grab it and admire it, it's a picture of us and Maddie and her dad. We've always been like a family, I never knew my mom or had any siblings so having Maddie and her dad around always made me happy.
"Hey Kitty! The cupcakes are ready!" I hear Maddie yell as I put the picture in my jacket and head back to the kitchen.
"Look at them! They look perfectly baked don't they!" I look at the cupcakes and they really do look perfect.
"Yes they do! We have to decorate them now!"
We start pipping frosting on them and ten minutes later we're all done.
"Wow! We have to try one!" I say to Maddie as I hand her one.
She takes a big bite and looks up in shock.
"How do they taste! Are they good! Or bad!"
I grab one and take a bite too and that's when I realize that they taste amazingly.
"They are perfect!" We both say in unison and laugh. We saved two for our dads, we finish up our cupcakes when we hear the door open.
"Kat, Maddie where are you girls!" I hear my dad yell out as we see them running towards us.
"Hey dad! We baked you guys cupcakes! Try them!!" I smile as I offer him one but something seems off, he doesn't take it and looks at the Mad Hatte; something is definitely wrong here.
"We have to go girls." My dad says in a stern voice.
"H-huh? Go where?" I hear Maddie ask as I look at her confused.
"We have no time, legs going." He grabs my hand and yanks me towards him.
"B-but the cupcakes..?" I say as I stare at the sweet treat in my hand.
"Kat, less talking more walking." He pulls me as we start rushing out the door causing me the drop the cupcake.
I look at it as I see Maddie with tears in her eyes, I feel my eyes getting wet too.
Nothing could prepare me for what we saw as we stepped outside. The kingdom was burning down and there were soldiers everywhere.
I stop walking as I look at everything in front of me.
"D-dad, what happened..." I begin crying and I feel him let go of my hand.
He kneels down trying to cover up my view. "We have to leave Wonderland. The Queen is destroying everything in her sight, it's no longer safe for us."
I couldn't understand anything he was saying, I hug him tightly and I feel him hug back and let's go."Where are we going?" He gets up and takes my hand once again and looks at the Mad Hatter.
"To The Isle of the Lost." I've never heard of that place before but I stay silent and follow him.
I look over to Maddie and I can tell she's scared but so am I. It feels like we're running forever until suddenly my dad stops.
"Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter, where do you think you're going?" I look back and see the Queen's soldiers behind us. I grip my dad's hand and he squeezes mine.
"We're leaving." My dad says as he looks at the Mad Hatter, they nod their heads at each other almost as if they're talking. They push Maddie and I behind them, I hug her.
"Oh wow, I didn't know the Queen gave you permission to leave Wonderland. C'mon guys, let's take you guys back to the kingdom where you belong and maybe she'll forgive you." I hear a soldier say, I shut my eyes wishing we could just disappear somewhere safe.
"You know we aren't doing that." The Mad Hatter says as he pulls out a dagger.
"Haha, I was hoping you'd defy us. This is going to be too fun." All the soldiers pull out their swords as I start sobbing.
Suddenly Maddie and I are grabbed my dad, "Listen girls, we love you so much. Don't ever forget that okay?"
I'm speechless as he pushes us down a hole, I scream and shut my eyes as I hug Maddie. All of a sudden we fall down to the ground. I open my eyes as I look around.
"Kat where are we?" Maddie says as I pull her closer.
"The Isle of the Lost..."
