JULES SAT ALONE IN HER BEDROOM scrolling up and down on her and matt's messages. the last time she texted him was timestamped to be now four days ago. it was a long time for the two of them to go without having a full on conversation. her eyes began to dwell up with tears because it felt like she was actively losing him.
she's felt this before with many other friends, but it never happened with matt. hell, she never would have guessed that she'd be feeling this way about him right now. and the worst part about it was that there was nothing she could do to change it. yeah, responding to his text would be a good first step, but the comment he made didn't make her want to. it honestly made her feel like her mother was behind his screen typing it for him. the situation almost made her laugh because did he not just go out of his way to helpher from her mother? and that was not even a week ago?
she decided to grab her headphones and lay down in her bed, listening to her playlist titled, "songs i cry to in my bed". it was pretty self explanatory. and with it that way she didn't have to think much about which playlist she wanted to put on. it was already there out in the open.
