Hypnos, the God of Dreams, Thanatos's twin brother, has a similar face to his brother. However, his black hair was longer, and his wings' color was white.

Right now, he stood restlessly, facing his pensive king. Hades seemed lost in thought, sitting on the throne and ignoring him.

Hypnos coughed to get Hades' attention but failed. The Lord of the Underworld did not even flinch.

Hypnos began to feel impatient. He spent too much time in that place only for daily reports.

Hypnos tried his luck by making a crow's voice. However, Hades didn't give any response.

He stroked his white wings and decided to drop
one of the nearest skulls heads to the floor, making a cracking sound.

Hades jumped on his throne. He looked at Hypnos and blinked a few times before realizing he was in the middle of a meeting.

"Ah, can you repeat your report?" said Hades, trying to concentrate.

Hypnos sighed. He had already given the same report over and over again. However, The King of the Underworld always lost focus in the middle of his words.

"Nothing important. Everything is going on as usual," replied the Dream God. He felt lazy to rehash the story that there was a human woman who would be
destined to become an oracle, a seer who could relate to them.

Hades breathed a sigh of relief. He was in no mood to hear Hypnos' babble as his thoughts filled with Persephone. "Very well, you may go now."

Hypnos bowed in salute and disappeared shortly after flapping his wings. He intended to enter his beloved girl's dream to steal a kiss or two without her realizing it.

*****

Hades let Hypnos leave him before tapping his fingers on the throne handle. His heart felt uncomfortable, wanting to inhale the fragrance emanating from Persephone's body, needing to hear her beautiful voice and hoping to enjoy her dance.

He repeatedly stomped his right foot before getting up and climbing the stairs to his bedroom at the corner of the south side of the building. He opened the door, made from a human skull, and entered the room.

He approached the cupboard on the left side of the large bed and cast a spell to open it. He retrieved his bident and his helmet of darkness made by the Cyclops.

Hades smirked. He intended to wear the helmet in the Upper World. No one, even Zeus, could see him afterward.

He locked his cupboard with the spell before leaving the Underworld, where he reigned and headed where the sun shone.

*****

Persephone admired herself in the long mirror in her bedroom. She adored her new handmade dress made of tulips.

The two large windows on either side of the room made of wood were wide open, allowing fresh air and sunlight to enter the room, brightening a bed made
made from a pile of leaves on the right side of the entrance.

However, she heard someone knocking before her door opened. A woman with a face similar to Persephone's but with long cornflower-yellow hair and black irises entered and smiled at her.

"Mom, how about my new dress?" Persephone welcomed her, spreading both hands, showing off her new look.

"Very beautiful," Demeter smiled as she observed her daughter's behavior. She picked up the comb on the small table next to the window before combing Persephone's hair.

"Today, I'm going to play near the river. The nymphs are waiting for me," said Persephone as her mother braided her hair and tied it with strands of flowers.

"You smell like roses right now," Demeter said, "are you feeling happy?

Persephone grinned at her mother, "I'm always happy when I'm with you."

The Goddess of Agriculture gently kissed Persephone's forehead. "Don't forget to come home right after you finish playing."

"Of course. I will come home before sunset." Persephone hugged her mother. She kissed her cheeks and left the house.

*****

Hades wore his invisible helmet and stood where the last time he met Persephone. Like his prediction before, the girl Wasn't aware of his present.

Persephone cheerfully ran past him, leaving the sweet scent of flowers in her wake. He even could hear her humming.

Hades curled his lips. He then tailed her without her knowing.

*****

Persephone danced with graceful steps. Each step of the girl matched the song she sang while the nymphs guarding the river clapped their hands with the same rhythm, encouraging her to spread the seeds of flowers and fruits with every movement.

Nobody realized if an uninvited guest was sitting nearby, leaning against a tree trunk. Hades' eyes and expression softened as he watched Persephone's cheerfulness.

The Lord of the Dead let the day pass slowly. He passed the time by watching the Goddess of Spring, who was playing.
