It was only a few days left until the school year was over. It was Friday and it was the last day with classes for the year and the day before Regulus' birthday.
Ottilia had her last class with Professor Wilson yesterday, because he had resigned and she would get a new dada teacher next year. She would miss him since he had been the best dada teacher during her six years at the school.
She sat in the great hall with her friends and ate lunch before she would have her absolute last class for the year. The train would leave on Thursday morning next week. She finished her lunch and then she went to Charms class with her friends.
In charms class Professor Flitwick told them their results on the charms exam and then he let them do whatever they wanted. It was no more for him to teach them for this year.
When the class was dismissed Ottilia went up to her dorm because she had free period. She left all her stuff in her dorm and then she went on a walk. She had some books from the library with her, because she needed to return them. She walked around in the almost empty hallways. She walked down to the library and she returned the books to Madam Pince.
When she was leaving the library she met Regulus who was walking into the library.
"Hi," she said with a smile.
"Hi," Regulus replied. He held in a few books and it seemed like he was going to return them.
"I have a gift for your birthday," she said. "I'll give it to you tomorrow."
"You have?" He said a little surprised and she nodded. "You didn't have to."
"You gave me one and I'll give you one," she said. "Just meet me somewhere tomorrow so I can give it to you."
"Okay, what about you meet me after lunch outside the great hall at one o'clock?" He suggested.
"Okay, see you tomorrow then," she said and then she walked back to the Gryffindor common room. She went upstairs to her dorm and sat down on her bed and read a book that she found in her trunk.
After a while Marlene came up to the dorm and asked her if she wanted to go and swim in the black lake. Ottilia nodded and changed into her bikini and put a dress over the bikini.
The two girls went down to the lake and met Lily and Mary who were there already. They swam in the lake for around an hour before the dinner.
The next morning Ottilia woke up so late so that she almost missed her meeting with Regulus. She left the empty dorm after she had changed into a light pink top and white skirt. She had the gift in her bag that she had got from her mother and grandparents for her birthday.
She went down to the great hall twenty minutes before one and she ate some lunch quickly. She had no idea where her friends were, but she would try to find them when she had given Regulus the gift. She ate her food and then she walked out from the great hall.
She saw him standing there standing outside of the great hall. She walked up to him.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi," she replied and she took out the gift from her bag. "There you go." She handed him a gift and a card. "Open the card first." He did as she told him to and opened the card.
"What's all these dots and letters?" He asked her.
"So when you told me you weren't sure if you could send letters this summer and I didn't know what to get you, I got this idea about morse code, so now if you open the gift," She explained and he opened it.
"Thank you," he said and put on the bracelet that was in the gift.
"So I charmed the bracelet that you gave me and then the one I gave you so they're connected, so we can send morse code messages," she explained.
"How does this morse code work?" He asked curiously.
"You have it there," she said and nodded at the card. "I've written instructions and when you want to send me a message you put your finger at the bracelet and if you want to write the letter a, you see that there's a dot and a line. If there's a dot you press the bracelet for a short time and if there's a line you do it for a long time and my bracelet will vibrate the same amount of time as you press it. It's definitely easier to send letters, so we can use this if you're not able to send letters. But you're going to need to write it down when we use the bracelets, I think it'll be easier to remember it."
"You're a genius Ottilia," he said impressed.
"I'm not a genius, anyone could've came up with that idea," she said.
"Not anyone, it's really smart. I would never have thought of this," he said and hugged her. "You're wearing pink today, it's really very pretty on you."
"It's matching the bracelet," she said with a smile. "Do you wanna go on a walk?" He nodded and they walked around the grounds. He held his arm around her waist and she leaned her head at his shoulder. She really hoped that they wouldn't bump into her friends especially the boys.
"Ottilia?" Regulus said as they walked out on the grounds. "I dont know how to say this, but ehm- do you want to be my girlfriend?"
"Yes," She said without hesitate a second. She liked him a lot and she wouldn't be lying if she said that she had been wanting that for a little while.
"Really?" He said and she nodded. He kissed her and then he smiled.
Suddenly Ottilia heard familiar voices and they were coming closer them.
"It's my friends including your brother," she whispered and she felt kinda stressed. The boys weren't supposed to know. "I need to go, but I'll see you around. I'll use the bracelet. Bye." She kissed his cheek and then she went back inside and walked down the hallway and walked towards the common room.
The boys caught up on her outside of the Fat Lady's portrait since the Fat Lady was messing around and refused to let her in.
"Where've you been all day Lia?" Remus asked.
"I've been sleeping," she said and that was true, but it wasn't the whole truth since she had met Regulus as well, but they didn't need to know.
"Okay," James shrugged. "By the way you haven't seen Lily?"
"Why? You should stop asking her out," she told him. "And no I haven't seen her since last night."
"Okay, but it doesn't hurt to check if she has changed her mind," James said and Ottilia rolled her eyes.
"You should wait at least until next year," Ottilia told him.
"Okay," James said. "But what if she forgets me over the summer?"
"What?" Sirius exclaimed. "Why would she forget someone who asks her out every other week?" Everyone started laughing except James who just stood there.
"I've asked her out too many times, haven't I? Lia you're a girl, would you think it was annoying if someone asked you out so many times as I've asked out Lily?" James asked.
"Yes you've asked her out too many times, but I think she has been kind to you when she says no," Ottilia said.
"Kind?" Remus asked. "Lily is not exactly kind to Prongs when she turn him down."
"Well, it's kind of we compare it to what I would've done if someone I'm not interested asked me out one hundred times," Ottilia said.
"You scare me sometimes," Peter said.
"I'm not that scary," she said.
"Ehm, you are, Lia. Wormy's right," Sirius told her. "You almost made a book fall in my had once, because I said reading is boring."
"Well you deserved it, because reading isn't boring at all," Ottilia said.
When Ottilia went up to her dorm later that night she started packing all her things into her trunk since they would leave in a few days and she was ready to say goodbye to her sixth year at Hogwarts.
