It's Hero Time (Book One Gravity Falls)

Chapter 8

High above the Earth, the Chimeran Hammer floats through space. Its hangar opens up and two Mechadroids are ejected and sent to earth. A basic bioid monitors them and speaks to Vilgax, who is recovering in his healing tank.

Bioid: "The drones have launched. Equipped with the improved internal tracking system, they should be able to find and retrieve the Omnitrix."

Vilgax: "They may find it, but retrieving it will not be easy. Whoever possesses the Omnitrix continues to be an opponent of extreme danger, and inspiring brilliance!"

*Meanwhile on Earth, Y/n walks through the aisles of a convenient store.*

Y/n: "Okay, what else am I missing- ooh cookies" He notices a stacked pyramid of cookie boxes. As he takes a box from it, the rest of the pyramid loses balance and falls over on Hope. She pops out of the pile.

Hope: "Smooth move, Sinclair." She said with an unamused look.

Y/n: "S-sorry!" He said flustered, Hope simply gave a small laugh at Y/n's embarrassment.

Hope: "Well either way, did we have everything?" She asked as the heterochromic boy.

Y/n: "Hmm, let me see... sodas, chips, popcorn, and complete star wars saga... yep we got everything for movie night!" Y/n said as he looked at the shopping basket in his hands.

Hope: "Good, well we should go, I'm really excited to watch these movie you told me about!" She said as the two headed to the checkout.

Y/n: "Same here!" Soon the two paid for the stuff aand exited the store. "Hey Hope, do you happen to have some sort of storage magic?"

Hope: "Well no, but I do have this!" Hope took out a small bag that looked like a face.

Y/n: "I'm guessing that's like a bag of holding?" Y/n asked as he looked at the strange bag.

Hope: "Yeah, something like that." She said as she put everything in her bag.

Y/n: "That's pretty cool." Suddenly, a heavy-looking truck on the road gets hit by a laser near them, blowing it open and catching fire.

Hope: "What the-!?" Hope yelled out, surprised.

The blast that shot the truck came from a gang of 3, all wearing full biker outfits and wielding laser rifles. They advance on the scene and notice the duo.

Gang Leader: "What are you looking at?" She asked Y/n who was stunned. The gang leader points their rifle at Max.

Y/n: "Hope, get back!" They fire the rifle. Y/n shoves Hope behind a truck and manages to dive to the ground.

Y/n: "Gotta take care of these guys!" Y/n activated the Omnitrix. The gang members grab bags of money from the hole in the truck, but a rumble soon catches their attention, then suddenly Nik Nak falls from the sky. He pounds the ground, sending a shockwave that knocks the gang over.

Nik Nak: "Go!" The lemur like alien yells out, and Hope runs for cover. Just then, the driver of the blasted truck gets out, holding his head.

Nik Nak: "You okay?" The driver sees Nik Nak, and runs away yelling in fear.

Nik Nak: "Hmm, wonder if that's a 'yes'..." He asked himself as the the gang leader, thinking he was distracted, fires a blast at Nik Nak, but he tanks the shot, and his body slightly glows and expands. They fire a second time, but it misses, and instead hits a nearby gas truck, exploding in a big ball of flames.

Hope: "Y/n!" The gang train their guns on the fire. Unexpectedly, Nik Nak leaps out of the pillar of smoke and surprises the three.

Nik Nak: "Thanks for the boost!" Nik Nak yelled out as he slammed the ground, causing a shockwave, sending them flying.
