As Audrey and Liane set off into the heart of New Orleans, Liane placed a hand on Audrey's arm, stopping her. "Audrey, there's something you need to know before we go any further," he said, his voice laced with concern.

Audrey looked at him, her brow furrowed. "What is it, Liane?"

"The French Quarter is a dangerous place, especially for someone with... abilities like yours," he explained. "The local vampire coven, the Legion, is very powerful and they're extremely sensitive to the use of magic. If they sense you using your witch powers, they won't hesitate to come after you."

Audrey's eyes widened in understanding. "I see. So, you're saying I need to be careful about using my magic while we're here?"

Liane nodded. "Exactly. Their leader, Kai, knows everything that goes on in this city. If he senses even the slightest bit of magic, he and his coven will descend on us in an instant. We need to be cautious, Audrey."

Audrey took a deep breath, processing the information. "Alright, I understand. I'll be sure to keep my magic under wraps while we're in the French Quarter. We can't afford to draw any unwanted attention, not when Angela's safety is at stake."

Liane gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm glad you understand. I know you're powerful, Audrey, but the Legion is not something to be trifled with. We'll need to rely on my werewolf senses and instincts to guide us through this."

With a nod, Audrey and Liane continued their journey, navigating the winding streets of New Orleans with heightened awareness. The air was thick with the scent of danger, and the shadows seemed to whisper secrets that they couldn't quite grasp. But with Liane by her side, Audrey felt a renewed sense of determination. They would find Angela, no matter what stood in their way.

As they made their way through the bustling French Quarter, Audrey couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The energy here was palpable, and she could almost taste the power that permeated the air. She knew they had to be extra cautious, lest they draw the attention of the Legion.

"Stay close to me, Audrey," Liane murmured, his eyes scanning the crowd. "I can sense the presence of vampires all around us. We need to be vigilant."

Audrey nodded, her senses on high alert. She could feel the magic thrumming beneath her skin, but she resisted the urge to use it, knowing that it could be their undoing. Instead, she relied on her keen observation skills, taking in every detail of their surroundings.

Suddenly, Liane stiffened, his nostrils flaring. "We're being followed," he growled, his eyes flashing with a hint of yellow. "We need to lose them, now."

Without hesitation, Audrey and Liane broke into a sprint, weaving through the throngs of people and ducking into the shadows. Audrey's heart pounded in her chest as they raced through the winding streets, but she trusted Liane to guide them to safety.

Finally, they found refuge in a dimly lit alleyway, catching their breath. Audrey looked at Liane, her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and determination. "What do we do now?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Liane's expression was grim. "We need to find a way to get to Angela without drawing the attention of the Legion. And that means we'll have to be even more careful from here on out."

Audrey nodded, her resolve hardening. "Then that's what we'll do. I'm not giving up on Angela, Alex. Not now, not ever."

With renewed determination, Audrey and Liane made their way to his house, where they could discuss their plan in safety. As they approached the door, Liane turned to Audrey. "There's something I should tell you before we go in," he said, his voice low.
