Nightwing POV
"As I took a step closer, my eyes narrowed. This wasn't just any bike - it was my prototype, codenamed 'Blue Thunder'. Its sleek, aerodynamic design and metallic black and blue finish seemed to gleam in the light, and I could see the subtle lines of its advanced composite materials.I couldn't believe it was here, in her possession. What was she thinking, stealing a prototype with revolutionary engine and cutting-edge features?
I shook my head, a mix of amusement and exasperation. She's something else, all right. How did she even...? I don't think I want to know... I turned to her, my voice surprised. "You stole this bike, didn't you?"
Her grin faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "Oh, Dickie, you need to loosen up! I just wanted to give you a gift."
I raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement dancing in my eyes. "A gift? You mean a 're-gift' from Wayne Tech's R&D department?"
She shrugged, a hint of playfulness in her expression. "Well...the bike was just sitting there, begging to be taken for a joyride... and I thought, 'Why not give it a new home with you, Dickie darling! You're welcome!"
I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. Only she could turn a high-stakes theft into a playful prank.
"Hey, Dickie? Want to take me on a ride?" she asked, her eyes shining with excitement.
I hesitated for a moment, before nodding. "Sure, let's take her for a spin."
She let out a thrilled whoop, her arms wrapping around my waist as I started 'Blue Thunder'. We revved through the streets, the breeze whipping through our hair, her joyful shout echoing through the night.
"As we sped through the city streets at night, the neon lights blurring together in a colorful haze, I couldn't help but admire Harley's joy and abandon. Her laughter resounded into the silence, infectious and carefree, and I found myself grinning from ear to ear. The wind streaming through our tresses, and the roar of Blue Thunder's engine beneath us was like music to my ears.
I couldn't help but steal glances at her in the side mirror, captivated by the joy radiating from her face. Her eyes radiated like stardust, and her smile could light up a room. Her long, blonde hair flowed behind her like a river of gold, dancing in the wind as we rode. Is this the real Harley Quinn, I wondered? Even in the midst of chaos, she was a vision of beauty, her wild spirit captivating.
"Whooo-hooo!" she shouted, her voice carrying over the wind. "This is living, Dickie!"
I grinned, feeling a rush of adrenaline. "Hold on tight, we're just getting started!"
As we took a sharp turn, the bike's tires screeched in protest, but her grip only tightened. She leaned into the turn, her body pressed against mine, our movements synchronized. The city lights blurred into a kaleidoscope of colors, a dizzying whirlwind of sound and motion.
"Yeeehaaw!" she screamed, her excitement echoing off the buildings. "This is the best night ever!"
I chuckled, feeling a sense of freedom I hadn't experienced in a long time. "You're a force of nature!"
Her laughter rang out again, and she held on tight, her face pressed against my back, as we sped into the night, our spirits soaring.
As we finally we pulled over by the river, the water glistening in the moonlight. She hopped off the bike, her eyes shining with a mix of excitement and something deeper, something more vulnerable. I followed her, my heart still racing from the thrill of the ride, and my mind wondering what she was thinking, what she was feeling. And as we stood there, the river flowing quietly behind us...
