"Have a good sleep, Maria," Manuel said in a monotone voice while hanging up the phone and leaning back in his office chair. Manuel stared at the wall for a long time, letting thoughts take over his mind.
After thinking about his youngest son, he got up to pour himself a glass of bourbon. While pouring his glass of bourbon, he starts thinking about Alexandre and what his life is like in America.
Miguel, Cristiano, and Lorenzo would never think about disobeying me multiple times as Alexandre did to his mother. Maybe he should have stayed with me and not with Maria.Once Manuel was done with all his deep thinking, someone knocked on his office doors
"Come in," Manuel said in a husky voice.
Manuel's eldest son, Miguel, walks in and sits in a chair across from his father.
"Papa, I heard you talking to Mama. Is everything alright? Miguel questioned in a concerned tone.
"Miguel, everything is alright she was telling me about Alexandre," He explained.
"How is he?" Miguel questioned.
"She grounded him because he disobeyed her multiple times," Manuel said in an angry tone.
"She doesn't spank him?" Miguel questioned again.
"No. She's scared to hurt him, "Manuel said in a monotone voice.
"Oh. Well, I wanted to tell you about Lorenzo and his behavior while you were gone," Miguel said in an annoyed tone
"What happened, son?" Manuel said curiously
"He decided to skip his classes and go smoke weed with his friends and because of that, he failed an important exam," Miguel explained.
"That boy is going to be the death of me," Manuel muttered. "Tell him to come here.".

"Papa, you wanted to see me?" Lorenzo questioned.
When he came in Manuel launched out of his chair and grabbed his ear, then dragged him to the black leather chair in front of his father's office chair.
"What in the world were you thinking!? Skipping class to smoke a joint?" Manuel roared at this son.
"Papa, how do you know? Who told you?" Lorenzo said in a shaking voice.
"Miguel told me. When I'm gone for work trips you are to listen to Miguel and behave like you would if I was here." Manuel said in a low, intimidating voice. "Do you understand me?"
"Yes, sir," Lorenzo said, almost in tears.
