Maddison POV

"How did it go?" I ask while I walk towards Ven.

She had taken an exam that we had been preparing for the past two days.

She looks a little upset.

"Oh it's okay.." I say while rubbing her shoulder. "Ven don't beat yourself up. It's just one test. Next time, I'm sure you'll get better result." I said cheerfully.

She turn her head and starts laughing.

"I'm just kidding, I passed!" She announced the good news.

"I knew it!! Yey! Let me see.." I excitedly jump in front of her as I place my arm around her back.

"I told you, you can do it." I say proudly.

"It's still a long way to go. It's too soon to celebrate." She says but I don't care. It's still a win worth celebrating.

I pat the back of her head.

"You did a great job Ven." I praise her genuinely.

"It's all thanks to you." She answer while smiling.

"Hey guys, what's going on here? You two seem happy about something.. Would you like to share?" He ask while hooking his arm around me.

Ven move a bit allowing more space for Travis to stand next to me.

"Oh it's nothing important." She shrugs her shoulders casually.

The bell starts ringing.

"I should go to my next class. See you guys later."

Ven glance at me once again before she walks away.

I watch her as she leaves.

"So.. you and Rave huh?" Travis lean over and stood infront of me to get my attention.

I frown at him.

"What do you mean?" I ask defensively.

"That you guys seem to get along really well these past few days. You barely have time for me anymore." He explain while pretending to be sad.

I've been turning him down to spend more time with Ven.

"I'm sorry, I've been very busy." I reply.

"Well if you're really sorry.. how about you make it up to me today? Yea?" He took my hand and kiss it.

I gently pulled my hand away.

"Please don't say no again.. I just need a few hours of your time." Travis says because he already knew that I will turn him down once again.

"Please.." he says again while looking at me with so much hope.

Should I remind him again? I never promise him anything. I told him from the very beginning that I wasn't ready for what he wants. A romantic relationship with him was just something I couldn't picture. Not now when I know my heart still beats for my best friend.
