Raven's POV
Maddie and I are walking towards my car.
I agree to her plan to go to the beach.
"Do you still know how to get there?" I ask.
"Yeah, I think so.. I mean we've been there more than a hundred times." She reply.
I smile and toss the key to her.
"Great! Cause you're driving today." I say.
"What?! Are you serious?"
I furrow my eyebrows at her. I'm pretty sure she has a license.
"Why don't you give me a ride for a change." I say casually while getting to the passenger seat.
She went to the other side and sat on the driver's seat.
Then she stares back at me.
Was she embarrassed? Her face is a little pink.
"You do know how to drive right?" I ask a little concerned for both of our safety.
"Yea.. hm, I do in theory."
"What?" I ask.
"Well.. it's been awhile since the last time I've driven a car. After I got my license, I never got the chance to drive again. Not that I need to, because I mostly just walk anyway. My house was just a few blocks away from my previous school."
"Wow, in that case I should.." I was going to tell her that I'll take over but she interrupted me.
"It's okay. Just sit there and I'll handle everything."
"Are you sure? Because I don't want to die yet." I say jokingly.
We're no longer awkward with each other now. I didn't think it will be this easy, but I'm glad that we have reach this point.
"Hey! Come on, you're safe with me." She reply while she's lightly poking my ribs.
"Hey.. hey! Knock it off. Hahaa. jeez! Poking me tickles alright.." I complain while trying my best to keep my composure.
She start the engine and well, I was shock of course!
"You've got to be kidding me.." I squeal.
She only pinch my cheeks with her free hand.
"Don't forget your seatbelt Vennie bear.. " she teases me softly.
I got speechless when I felt her touch.
But she didn't mean anything with it. She was only bringing the belt closer but my senses are always super sensitive when it comes to her. I don't think she's aware of it.
"Here it goes." She says while smiling as she hit the pedal.
