Elodie's POV

I gripped onto the elevator doors so they wouldn't close as the echoing of ringing still filled my ears.

"Elodie let go! We need to go!" 

"Gary please!" 

He yanked on my body but I refused to let go. I saw Arden come out of the hotel room as he was slammed to the floor, handcuffs placed around his wrists. I saw another security guard approaching the elevator as I watched Arden fight the police officers.

"Arden Smith you are under arrest for the murder of Florence Waters and the rape of Elodie Jones. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided to you-"

"I DID THIS FOR YOU ELODIE! I LOVE YOU!"

Arden looked up at me with a smirk on his face as my hands were pried off the side of the elevator. 

"WYATT" 

The doors shut as I screamed inside the elevator as Gary held me. He turned me around as another scream escaped from my lips. 

"Shhhhhh," 

I tried to shove Gary off of me but it was no use. He was extremely strong. The other guard was blocking the door.

"Gary, we have to go back for Wyatt! We- we need- we- we have to go back!"

I stuttered on my words as I attempted to form a cohesive thought.

"Shhhhhh" 

The elevator dinged as Gary lifted me off the ground. I smacked his chest but he brushed it off. I swung my hands in the air looking for anything to grip onto as he wrestled me into the car. 

"NO! GARY NO! STOP! GARY!" 

I kicked his chest as he grabbed hold of my legs holding them tightly. 

"IT IS MY JOB TO KEEP YOU SAFE MISS JONES. YOUR SAFETY HAS BECOME COMPROMISED!"

"Gary, please. Wyatt,"

Tears clouded my vision as I softened my eyes looking at him. He shut the door and walked around as I tried to open it but it was locked with no way to be unlocked. Gary climbed into the side door as I looked at him. 

"We have to go back for Wyatt." 

I turned my head and saw Arden coming out of the building in handcuffs as the police dragged him across the parking lot. No sign of Wyatt. They loaded Arden into the police car and drove off as the SWAT team followed in the other vehicle. We sat parked as I watched through blurry eyes. Why wasn't the car moving? 

Gary got back out and walked around opening the car door. 

"The threat has been removed, let's go." 

He helped me out of the car as we headed back inside the building. The elevator ride was silent as fear filled my mind. My heart was racing as we reached the floor and the elevator dinged open. Malcom stood in the hallway with his hand in his hair on the phone. I looked at him and he put his hand out. 

"Elodie wa-" 

My feet were moving faster than ever before. I was almost running. 

"WHERE IS HE?!"

I looked around and shoved past Malcom as I made my way into the hotel room and gasped. Wyatt laid on the ground. Six holes in his shirt as blood stained the fabric. I fell to the ground as sobs escaped my lips. His eyes were closed and I looked at his body. This wasn't happening. I ran my hands through his hair as I looked at him.
