Keefe's POV
"Keefe please, I don't want to spend my final moments like this. I'm going to die and that is inevitable"
"No.. Sophie.. why.. you can't leave me. How do I live without you?"
"I'm sorry Keefe but I can't.. Please enjoy your life without me now that the Neverseen are gone.."
"No I can't.. I can't enjoy a life without you.."
"Keefe please, that's all I ask. Forget about me, it'll make me happy.. Keefe I'm so sorry I didn't tell you this earlier but I love you.. I love you so much." Sophie wheezed out.
Tears streamed down Keefe's face. "I love you too Foster.. I love you more than you could ever know.." And with that they kissed. Their first kiss but also their last.
"I love you.. Keefe.. forever.." Sophie managed.
"I love you Sophie.. forever and always.." Keefe whispered as he pressed his forehead against hers.. Her figure became motionless as her hand fell limp in Keefe's. She closed her eyes for the last time and at that moment the realisation hit Keefe. He would never be able to see again those sparkly brown eyes his heart yearned to see..
