The Unexpected News

Next day at court, everyone gathered for the verdict. All the officers were present too. The judge came and started the session. After sometime, the public defense lawyer called the investigating officer, that is Yn to the box. After he finished his final question, the judge was about to give the verdict, when Yn spoke.

"My lord, before you give the final judgment, I want to say something. Please make your decision after that."
The judge gave her permission. Yn took a deep breath and said.
"Kim Taehyung, the most powerful and dangerous man, is actually not the guilty, my lord. He is a victim. And I have evidences."

Everyone presented on the court was surprised at her words. The most wanted mafia is not even guilty? Is it possible even?
The judge ordered to be silent.
"Ms. Jung, are you sure about your statement? If not then you could be punished for wasting the time of honorable court."

"I'm sure, my lord. I have evidences to proof his innocence.", Yn said with stern voice.
"Okay then produce your evidences to the court on the next session.", the judge gave next date for the session.

After the court dismissed, the chief and other senior officers came to Yn.
"Yn, what did you do?", asked the chief.
"It is truth, sir. I have spent six months with him under the same roof. I know him better than anyone. He is not guilty, sir. He is a victim.", Yn stated.
"Do you have evidences or you are trying to save him as you are his wife now?", the chief expressed his doubt.

"I have solid evidences, sir. I can show you right now. I..."
Yn couldn't speak further as she felt dizzy. She was about to hold the wall near but couldn't. She lost her consciousness and fall down.
The chief and other the officers got concerned. One of the officer called the intelligence bureau doctor.

When the doctor came, Yn got her consciousness back. The doctor checked her thoroughly.
"Doctor, is she fine? Do we need to admit her to hospital?", the chief asked.
"No chief. It is not necessary to admit her to hospital.", the doctor said.

"I guess it's stress.", Yn said.
The doctor nodded as no.
"No Ms. Yn. It's not stress. If I am not wrong, you are pregnant."

The chief and the officers gasped. The doctor took his leave. Chief took Yn to a separate room to talk.
"What it is Yn? Is it true? Are you really pregnant with his child? You went to do your duty, Yn. Not to engaged with him. Can you imagine what did you do? You are pregnant with a criminal, mafia's child!!!", the chief was so overwhelmed by the news.

"It was not intended sir.", Yn tried to say further but the chief cut her words in the middle.
"It was not intended but it was not inevitable too. You could refrain yourself from engaging with him physically!", the chief asked.
"We are married sir. Legally married. I am living with the man for six months, under the same roof, in the same room, on the same bed. It was not that easy!", Yn replied simply getting irritated by chief's words.

"Oh these are excuses, Yn.", the chief signed and continued. "You are a cop, Yn. If you wanted, you could easily refrain yourself from engaging with a criminal, physically. It is not like you were in love with him!", the chief paused for a second. "Or you perhaps do?"

Yn paused for a moment and said. "I am sorry to say this but it is my personal matter, chief. My duty, as a protector of law, was to catch him. And I did that. Now it is my duty to prove him innocent. And I will do my duty again. No matter what happens. "
Yn did not wait there for a moment. She walked out of the room.

She went back to their house. Taehyung and her house. She ran straight to the bedroom and plotted herself on the bed.
"I wanted to give this news to you first. I wanted to give you this news as our six months completion gift. We are going to have a baby. Our baby. The result of our love."
Yn started to sob holding a pillow.
