The Sentence

On the next session of court, Yn went there with immense confidence. She produced all the evidence of Taehyung's innocence. Jungkook was there too as witness.

"My lord, who is the actual guilty? The person who did wrong or the person who made the other to do wrong? Yes, Taehyung did something that is wrong. But the things happened to him, were not those wrong too? He trusted his uncle but what he got? False accusation as a murderer? He again believed that person who rescued him. But again he got cheating, disrepute. If we want to highlight the negatives about him, that he smuggled national treasures. Then should not we notice his positive side too? The people, whom he takes care of, who get to have both ends of meat, clothes to wear, roofs to take shelter, medicine when needed, the education...everything he has been arranging for ages. Should not we notice that too? My lord, it is my earnest request to look at this too. Can not we think the humanity aspect too? What about the man who made him criminal without doing crime? What about the man who pushed him into this dark world? Should not they be punished too?", Yn stopped.

The judge noted everything. Then asked.
"Do you know that man who gave him shelter and made him do smuggling at first?"
"Yes, my lord. That man is a respected person in our society.", Yn gritted her teeth.
"Who is he?", the judge asked.
Yn paused for a moment and then said.
"Chief"

It felt like someone dropped a bomb inside the court room. The other officers of the intelligence bureau were shocked after Yn's accusation. Chief was present there too. He gritted his teeth.

"Miss Yn, do you have any evidence of your accusation? You are trying to say that the chief of intelligence bureau is a criminal? You know you could get punished severely if you are proved wrong?", the judge asked.

"I know it very well, my lord. And I am not joking around. I have evidences to prove this man here is a criminal.", Yn stated.
"Your chief?", the prosecutor asked.
"Not our chief sir. This man. This man, who is pretending to be our chief but not.", Yn dropped another bomb.

"My lord, it is not my first time working in intelligence bureau. I am working under chief for several years now. I am an officer of special branch. I have done my training under chief. He is more like a father figure to me. But this person, standing right in front of us, is not our chief. He is the real criminal."

"Are you blind? Can not see me standing here?", the chief cut Yn's sentence in the middle.
"I can see clearly. My lord, few sessions ago, the day when I got unconscious in the court room, I noticed it first. I have worked with chief in many secret missions. He trusted me always. He never asked me a single question regarding my way of solving the cases. But that day, the way he talked to me, the words he used... I am definite that he is not our chief."

"I questioned about your closeness with that criminal, that does not mean I am a different person."
"Yes you are. Because you were surprised after listening to my pregnancy news, while you were the first person I told about it months ago."
The chief got tongue tied suddenly after Yn spoke.

"My lord, this person is not our chief. He is chief's twin brother. He kidnapped chief. Real chief is there."
Everyone presented inside the courtroom looked at the direction Yn indicated. There was real chief. The signs of ties on his body. He came to the witness box and described everything.

After listening to everything, the judge start saying his final verdict.
"Before announcing the final verdict, I want to say something. What is law? Is it only a collection of few written words? If yes, then according to that law I am bound to give the accused an exemplary punishment. But if not, if law is something beyond the few collective written words, then I am afraid that while announcing the final verdict I have to shift my place from a judge to a human being. I know there is no solution of this conflict. Because we are living in such a time, which itself does not allow any solution of any conflict. Therefore as a judge, I am announcing the accused, Kim Taehyung, a two years of prison along with the other members of his gang. The intelligence bureau officers are ordered to investigate further on the fake chief. The court is adjourned for the day."
