The Past

"What incident Jungkook?", Yn asked.
Jungkook had a glass of water. Then again started.
"One day there came a visitor. He was uncle's relative. His behavior was different towards the girl. One night, when the girl was sleeping in her room, the person entered silently and tried to force himself on her. To save herself, the girl hit him on head by a glass and he got unconscious. Later everyone got to know that he died. Police came. Investigation had started. Hyung's room was beside the girl's. To save their reputation uncle framed hyung as murderer."

"What? Him?", Yn got shocked.
"Yes noona.", Jungkook replied.
"Then?", Yn asked.
"The police arrested hyung. He was sentenced seven years of jail."
"Seven!", Yn gasped.
"Hmm", Jungkook hummed.
"Then?", Yn asked again.

"After he got released, he had nowhere to go. He was roaming around the city. No shelter, no food. One night he was sitting under a shade of a store because of the rain. There came a car. A middle aged man got out of the car. He noticed hyung to shiver from cold. He took hyung with him to his house. From that night, that house became hyung's new address."

Jungkook paused for a moment. Yn was being hella curious.
"Then what happened Jungkook? Who was that person? How did Tae end up being a mafia?"
"That person, who took hyung with him, not only gave hyung shelter and food, but also work."
"Work?", Yn asked.
"Yes, work. Supplying things. Hyung thought, life gave him another opportunity to live properly this time. But that wasn't the matter.", Jungkook paused again.

"What happened again, Jungkook?"
"The man involved hyung in supplying smuggled items."
"The man was a smuggler?", Yn cut Jungkook’s word in the middle.
Jungkook smiled sadly and nodded.
"Did not Tae try to come out of the situation?"
"Noona, life does not work always in our ways. It is way too tough for a person to come back to light again after getting tangled in dark world. Hyung tried hard but can't do that."

The room was in silence for some moments then Yn spoke.
"What about the man? Where is he now?"
"Noona, he is a respected person of our society now. People listen to him, salute him, not knowing he is a beast inside. You know noona, hyung might be involved in those smugglings of precious national treasures, but he still does good things. The money he gets from the assignments, he doesn't spend those for fun like others. He helps people like him. He has few men recruited for these. I'm one of them. We search for unfortunate children, street children, people, who have no place to go, nothing to wear, nothing to eat. Hyung provides them all. Hyung might be a criminal for the upper class society but for the poor, the needy, he is the God."

Jungkook's voice got cracked. Yn's eyes got teary.
"I knew it. My Tae can't be a monster. He is a savior. But now I have to help him. We have to help him, Jungkook. I know it is dangerous for you too..."
"Anything for hyung, noona.", Jungkook cut Yn's sentence in the middle.
"I was sleeping on the streets, eating foods from bins, stealing. It was hyung, who gave me a life. I will do anything for hyung, noona. Even if it ends up being in the prison."
"Thank you, Jungkook. I promise, I will make sure that you will not get punished."

Jungkook went from there. Yn could not sleep that night. She was determined to prove Taehyung as innocent. She knew exactly what to do on the next court day. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The day after tomorrow is going to be huge for everyone.
"Don't worry sweetheart, you will get free soon. I promise, that bastard will get to taste his own medicine."
